Thought I'd throw this out there since i'm not exactly sure how it will work out once it's put into effect.
I know some of us dump all of our YA training points into one player in hopes that it will greatly accelerate his training. Its a useful strategy in its current format as in respect we get very little training points to allocate considering many of us have 10+ YA players. But what happens when these coaches become activated and many of us get 160+ YA training points to play with? Is it cool to just point all the points into one player until you create some sort of Calvin Johnson and then send him up.. and then create another Calvin Johnson come next cycle? I honestly dont know how this is going to work but the prospect of putting all of the accelerated YA training points into one player seems kinda odd to me. But i'm not sure how anyone can regulate it because theres nothing saying I cant go around it and have one youth player and putting all my points into him. Like to hear what you all think... |

I think, if you want to create a super receiver out of youth academy, than you have to - have 10 ACs - delegate all YP to him, starting with 16 and promote him with 19-20. I think, this is a fine strategy. |

You can'r create a superstar out of the YA by using the extra training, since you can not spread those points on players having reached a certain percentage of their skill level. Or do I misunderstand here?

You can push him to certain level, and from that point he gets only the normal training.

When the skill reaches 35 you won't be able to dump training points into that skill anymore, only normal training applies. Plus I think it is great as it is. For 160 points you need to have 10 ACs, from which you can't have high CP ones. So you "invest" into your YA (10 low CP AC = more points) and "neglect" your senior team training and matches (low CP AC for those positions). |

A regular offense/defense guy has around 6 or 7 skills he can use in the game....this won't work! |

Ok.. I see now. My main concern was that a manager with 160+ YA training points could manufacture a Calvin Johnson in a relatively quick time frame despite that player's overall talent lvl saying he should become average or mediocre with a regular training regimen..

I think at the moment a guy with a 35 skill rating would be something like a Megatron. Considering the crap players we started with...
