As did the Niners on the Saints.

In what way? The niners blew the game on a simple muffed punt vs Giants. Saints/Niners game was a back and forth game. I completely disagree with you.

The Saints blow the game with one of the worst team performance of the year.
Dropped balls, fumbles, interceptions and so on.
And I'm NOT talking about errors the defense had created, I'm talking about clear bad plays because of a bad day.

Yes, there wasn't a few bad plays, there were more.
But the Niners wouldn't had a chance if even every second bad play of those wouldn't had happend.

The thing is, the "Worst Performance" was because the Niners defense is tops in the league. Look at the Giants game. They beat Eli up. In fact Eli didn't really win it for the Giants. You barely crack 300 yards with 58 attempts? Wow. The Saints just ran into the best defense. Saints defense is awful anyway, been awful all year. Niners just beat the Saints. Giants have a defense but not as good an offense as the Saints. Niners are built for the high powered bad defense teams. I say built not because it was intentional to build them that way, but it is the way they are constructed.

Listen, it's hard to discuss such things with fans of a specific team, like you are a fan of the Niners, because ... well ... you are fan.

I don't hate any of that teams and I don't cheer for any of them.

In both games there were several plays given the winner a gain of momentum and position or yards.

It was not only the two bad punt return in the NYG game, and it was not only the SF-defense.

The Niners played good defense on both games. Sometimes you are lucky, sometimes the other team. That happens.
In fact there was almost no game in the playoffs, where some lucky plays were involved.

Ifs and thens will not change that.

All I wanted to state is, in MY OPINION, if the Saints had their A-game in SF, the NYG would have to play them.

That's the last I say to that issue.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion. That is why I said I disagreed with you, I didn't say you were "wrong." I am passionate about my team and so it is probable that my vision will be skewed. It is difficult to compare games as personel are so very different. If the Saints had any type of defense they might have won that game.

Wow...two heart breakers for the Raven and 49ers fans!

Giants vs. Patriots should be a good match-up though...

Well, congrats to the NYGs, they played well and had that needed luck on their side.

Many stupid mistakes by NE, estpecially in the beginning, costed too much and at the end the win.

But NY did NOT win only because NE shot themself in the knee.
They played very good and Eli did really played one of his best games.

Anyone notice that -G.O.A.T- wasn't able in 5 attempts to manage a game-winning TD-drive in the Super Bowl?

I thought about that after the Giants scored the TD, and NE got the ball with one minute to play, and I said to myself: Yep, the Giants just won.
