You know, I would hate to see a change now that satisfies those who are concerned with not having enough funds to currently win the top players, and then in 3 seasons there will be a group complaining there isn't enough funds due to the high salaries.

I am quite sure this will happen, and I prepared myself well when I visited the weapons dealer on next corner

I could deal with kind of a maximum transfer amount per week/month/season

Linked to a % of your Forecast Balance for the current season?

80%
90%
100%
110%

So in my case (Result 54,039,126 atm) I would be limited to some % of $54M.

This is still open. Could be a percentage of your forecast, or a total amount of money

Well going back a few years ago this is what happened in college football in the USA. Before there was a restriction on the number of scholarships teams like Texas, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Oklahoma dominated EVERY year by getting all the topic talent. Now that there are scholarships limits the former bottom feeders, Northwestern, Oregon, Duke, UTEP and such can now compete on a level playing field so to speak.

A smaller senior roster and limited YA slots would bring the system back into equilibrium over time. As the game grows with more new players this will become a bigger problem in the future if it stays the same.

Of course, we could OCCUPY RED ZONE and have wealth redistribution from you rich 1%ers.

That is a completely different scenario. In college there are some colleges that just cannot get up to the same level as say a USC or Texas.

Here, any team within a few short seasons can start rolling in funds with a max stadium.

I am whole heartedly against any mechanism that tries to make every team on equal playing field whether they started day one or yesterday. You just have to earn it.

Actually, it’s not, the University of Texas has a massive advantage in its athletic budget compared to say Baylor or Iowa State who is also in the same conference as Texas. Yet by limiting the number of scholarships, Baylor and Iowa State can now go after the same talent as Texas does with a chance to get that player. In the 70’s and 80’s those teams had no chance to ever be on the same level as Texas on the field. So, it’s not money that put them back on the same level but changing the rules to keep the chance of each school getting the top talent pretty equal.

End result is NCAA football has grown in popularity 10 fold since that rule change. Trust me, NOBODY went to Northwestern games when they were getting clobbered every week by scores like 63-3 73-13 to teams like Michigan and Ohio State. Now days the stadium is packed, parking lot full of tailgaters and Northwestern has had a pretty good run lately in football.

As an example of the problem, right now, there is a Senior Manager who has bids on 24 players [or just shy of 25% of the players on the board] on the TM. With a total bid amount of $ 595,077. Now, why the manager is not violating any rules and is well within his right to do this. It does call into question to if the TM being manipulated, which then calls into question the integrity of the game. At a minimum this needs to be looked at to see if there is a real problem or not and if some type of restrictions need to be placed on the TM.

Some managers bid on each player they would like to follow, since then they can use their bidlist to find them again...
