Have to add: I am not ready to change anything in the engine based on ONE game!

Why a bonus for the defense?

I didn't expect that you would change the engine directly. But I hope you have an idea, if more managers start to use this tactic, based on this revealment.

True. So, to strenghten the point of my Edit: Just a way to try to counter very strong rush teams.

The question is: should we call it exploit or feature. This translates to "we need to act" vs. "Fine, let's play some games"...

For myself, I don't consider both things to be exploits, since the nature of an exploit means there is no counter option, IMO. This is not the case, because we have some good passing games, as we will see teams going down when relying on Jonny's tactic. I am quite sure

Fe - Fe - Fe - Fe - Fe - Fe - Fe - Fe - Fe - Fe - Fe - Fe... FEATURE!!!

I (promoted team) just beat San Diego Blitzkrieg (Bowl runner up) using some pass plays. So: "Fine, let's play some games". Cause I'm sure he'll find a way to give me the hell of a game next time... Don't think we reached the end of the flagpole when it comes to tactics.

I think so to. It will be very time consuming to find a good tactic, if you play every week against balanced teams.

The main problem for me is, that you can acually win more with a simple tactic than with a complex tactic, because there is no "learning" effect.
You can run with few different plays against a smart defense and they have not the chance to ract to a simple tactic.

So let wait and see! May be it is more hype for nothing and Johnny is only a great coach.

Jonny? A great coach? Pah! Like I said before: He drives on the left side...

No, I'm sure he found a great strategy. Which makes him... Yeah, a great coach.

Since it seems nothing happened:

Maybe a great coach should better drive with the... coach.

I wondered when it will come up:

It was "there" all the time

-> constant pick up by engine regarding position -> always first WR on L second on R like in this example -> why this set order of picking?

And this is only one example where "manager" using specific one side

But i will hope on the wise word of Admin that all this will level out with time

Well, JonnyP wasn't the first one to use the tactic of playing over one side of the field all game long. Last season I played against a team that ran over the left side all game long and he did that in the games that I reviewed before playing him.

This season I see that he has mixed it up a bit and runs over both ends. He has a very strong team so maybe he would be successful with other variations as well. At least I suspect he would do well. I won't mention the team name because everyone can review their opponent's league and cup games.

With or without smiley, this discussion becomes boring, since we have different opinions about wahat is passing game...

IMO: a good portion and progress of the game by pass: good passing

You: making scores by pass: good passing

Added: so we should skip this...
