As the game progresses a bit, I'm beginning to see how thing evolve and I'm thinking Teamwork (along with physical skill caps) as the most important attributes of a player.

The rate at which low TW players gain skill is terrible slow. Not too far in the future, I don't think most non-draftee players (with low TW) will ever become useful players in any reasonable amount of time.

Additionally, TW also has some effect of team tackling and blocking (not sure how much). But those are definitely key parts of the game.

In other games, talent or potential is king. But I think many people have pointed out that training all your players to the talent cap maximum is unaffordable. Maybe only a few key players (like QBs) will ever require 4-5 star talent to avoid skill capping.

At least this was the plan

Pretty much works for me.

I also rate Intelligence quite highly (probably because I always wanted to be samrt.)

I definitely value TW a lot. Intelligence depends on the position for me, I usually put the "dumbest" players on the defensive line or at WR/RB.

QBs obviously need a lot of Intelligence, same for SFs and LBs but then I'm not so sure... how much does intelligence help OLinemen, TEs or FBs to recognize and pick up a blitz? Do smart CBs get a bonus to reading the play or does this skill depend more on Vision? Any advantage to being smart on special team (ie: K, P but also G and KR)?

i would say a smart guy at any position reads the plays better. Interception stats back this up i think.

Couldn't agree with you guys more. And I guess other people started to take notice too, since the high intel + TW 16 and 17 year olds started to skyrocket in terms of price.

Just a few days ago a 16 year old 2,5* guy with 43.6 intelligence, 41 TW, 23.1 strength, 26.9 speed, and most main skills somewhat below 10 went for 12,5 million!

A few days after that another 16 year old 2,5* youngster with 44,8 intel, 44 TW, 17,6 strength, 26,4 speed, and 6-7 in the main skills went for 2 million.

I could see myself paying 2 million for the second, but 12,5 million for the first with physicals still below 30??? Good luck with the cap hunting!

I always choose my Youth Pick based on TW (with a little bit of age factoring in).
