NC Playoff picture with one game to go...

NC East

Barring a major brain fart Kolin should win the division vs a bot team next game. Hasta going bot definitely impacted the playoff picture...

NC North

Mystic plays a bot so they will be 14-1 going into last game.
Sfniner plays Malakas next which could go either way...so I will be either 14-1 or 13-2 going into the last game. You know what is crazy? If I win the next two games then I would be the number 1 seed, if I lose either of the next 2 games I'm the number 5 seed. Wow.

NC South

Horada wins division. Losing another game won't change the playoff seeding. Horada is virtually locked into the number 3 seed.

NC West

Girona wins division. Locked at least a number 2 seed.

Wild Cards
Mystic of Sfniner will have the higher wildcard seed.

The following teams are in the chase:
S Eagles at 8-6 play Mad Rabbits and Girona next
Dynamos at 8-6 Play Mystic and Alice Springs next
Typhoons at 7-7 Plays Girona and Kolin next
Alice Springs 7-7 Plays Cornhuskers and Hasta next

I would think that eagles could split the two at best to finish at 9-7
I would think Dynamos lose last two games and are out of it.
I would think Typhoons lose to Girona and then the game vs Kolin could go either way.
I would say Alice Springs wins at least one of those games.

Because Eagles have such a poor PD any situation where they tie record wise with they will lose the tie breaker. For Eagles to make the playoffs they need Typhoons to and Alice Springs to lose both of their games or Eagles have to beat Girona.

Typhoons or Alice has the best shot at winning this last wild card as they both should split their series at minimum.

In the AC....

AC East

Malakas has locked this one up. My question is what happened to Zaragoza? He has lost 5 in a row and 6 of 7? Is he trying to go down to 2.1? He lost to Hasta right before they went bot which means they probably weren't set up in an optimal setting. 6-1 to missing the playoffs? At least he beat Mystic early in the season for me.

AC North

A HOTLY contested division. wow.
After Fajny lost to Malakas by a score of 14-21 (only had 13 minutes of possession time, amazing to have that close of a game with that stat!) and Valhalla lost to Sweaty by a score of 10-35 (man the big play hurt them, Sweaty scored on 3 long scoring plays. A fumble return of 79 yards a touchdown pass of 38 and one of 80 yards.)

With 2 games to go:
Valhalla 11-3 plays Dream Team and Fajny next.
Fajny 11-3 plays Horada and Valhalla next. Tough schedule.
Sweaty 10-4 plays Pink Panthers and Dream team next.

Valhalla looks to me to be the favorite now. I expect them to win vs Dream team. I don't see Fajny winning both games. Sweaty will likely lose to Panthers. Even if it does all end in tie records, Valhalla has over a hundred pd. advantage.

AC South
LOL 8-6 plays bot then Essen.
Les 8-6 plays Pigs then bot.

LOL has the easier schedule and the PD lead. I think they will continue to lead this division.

AC West

Pink Panthers are 14-0 the only undefeated team, and they are among a group of 6 teams in all of 1.1 leagues to be undefeated.

Pigs are 12-2 and mathematically alive for the division.

Panthers have Sweaty and Pigs left. Possible to go 0-2 against them.
Pigs have Les and Panthers left.

So pigs have to sweep and have panthers lose to sweaty, and all the while gaining a 130 points in the pd column.

Still think Panthers win the division.

So Division winners look to be

Malakas
Valhalla
Panthers
LOL

and wild card considerations:
Pigs 12-2
Fajny 11-3
Sweaty 10-4

Pigs are a lock, the final spot is between Fajny and Sweaty. I see them finishing with the same record and whoever wins the pd tie breaker getting in.

after todays games in AC, ive clinched no1 seed. in AC north, fajny tim will be working hard next game to stay in playoff zone, as 60 pd advantage is less than it actually seems.

in NC shaping game sfniner lost by a suprisingly big margin to Malakas, probably due to lack of passing success, despite numerous efforts.

the seedings are quite shaped by the time now:

AC:
1. Panthers
2. Valhalla or Malakas
3. ^same^
4. Buttersticks
5. Majalorca Pigs
6. Fajny or Sweaty

NC
1. Mystic or Girona
2. ^same^
3. Horada
4. Walruses
5. Sfniner
6. Eagles

One quarter killed me. I lost 3-27 but he scored 3 touchdowns in the second quarter. Turnover hurt me that quarter as well as my gamble on formation. I saw someone else have success against him with a particular formation that I don't typically use and it hurt me as well as my poor decision to defend his proset.

The first half: I had 52 total yards of offense, 2 int's that led to 10 points for him. He had 199 total yards of offense and 27 points.

Second half: No turnovers for either of us. I had 124 yards of offense and he had 101 yards of offense. He scored 0 and I scored 3.

I think I know what I can do to make it a better game if that ever happened.

Dude, you've done that before ... i.e. totally changed your 'normal' game to try and match-up against the opponent and it hurt you that time too.
Easy to say...but if something works ,not much pointing changing it ...if I were you, I'd be tempted to stick to what got me the other 13 league wins.

Agreed 100% .... if you've got a Kalashnikov AK-47 and I haven't , then I've got a problem and you haven't .....I've also got an even bigger problem if your AK-47 has some bullets in it !

I know. I just panic a little. I still feel a little lost when it comes to making a good playbook because I want to create a balanced approach but everytime I do it is disaster with turnovers. I can't game plan like I have been because the people who played against the opponent has different players with different skills, so there is no guarantee that it would turn out the same.

I'm not claiming to be an expert on the playbook or formations or tactics..far from it......but I think it's too easy to over-complicate in an attempt to either outfox the opponent or 'throw the opponent off balance" .... it can work, but quite often you just end up outfoxing yourself or throwing your own team off balance.

If I had your roster I'd just keep things very simple and effectively say to your opponents "try and beat me" rather than beating yourself.
I don't mean this post to be patronising or disrespectful ... I just think that at times maybe you over-analyse .... after all, if you had Calvin Johnson,Jerry Rice,Wes Welker and Gregg Jennings on your team and you had an upcoming opponent who was supposedly good with pass defense but poor against the run, what would you do .. pass or run? I'd say to the QB "get the ball to whichever WR is open and we'll destroy them" .... no point running the ball just because they expect you to pass, much better to concentrate on what you do well.
