I suppose you've all seen the recent growth of Portugal in RZA ? .... it's nothing short of astounding ..... from not many managers at all to 39 managers in just a few days ! Portugal are now 4th overall and climbing fast.
However, I keep forgetting that "Britain" would be approx equal second (with Germany) on 55 Managers if we counted the Union Flag,The Flag of St.George,The Saltire, and The Flag of Wales (Baner Cymru) as all part of one happy little country
At the current rate of growth, the Portugese will soon be the 2nd placed nation, still some way to go to overhaul Uncle Sam though ........

Yep, I was quite surprised how fast the portuguese community is growing.

We'll see how much of this new teams will stay for a longer period after noticing how developed are the best.

The same goes for any new players though - this sort of game is a long term effort, and anyone who is not prepared to plan for the long term approach will not succeed and will probably quit.

Nobody who enters with the right attitude should be put off by the fact that those who have been here longer are better developed - it is possible to catch up. I wasn't here from the very start

If they stay or not depends on many factors, but if half stays there's already an improvement.

If some teams become regulars, that's already a start to the growing of the community. Many will quit, but many also will try again after their friends keep talking about the game.

The secret is simple: the game was promoted inside the portuguese american football community of players and fans.

Great work, no matter if the newbees stay or not.

Probably it is my fault if I can't keep them playing

Have to say: based on the survey we are sending to leaving managers, I am quite confident. Most state they quit due lack of time, and would like to comeback some day.
Only a few of them were talking about major issues they have/had with the game.

You've done a good job there.
To get a country from almost nowhere in the numbers rankings to 3rd in a short space of time is impressive.

The best way of tackling issues is not to quit, but to be active on these forums and try to get changes/improvements in a constructive manner.
I'm sure you're quite happy to make changes, isn't that right Pete

My target now is to give life to the portuguese forum. That's the secret to keep players playing: community.

At the moment only 3 managers are posting there, so that's a start, but still close to nothing.

I bet that's a direct relation between forum involvement and the period one plays the game.

My tip to keep managers in is to ease the task for them to find the forums. If the manager doesn't goes to the foruns, let the forums go to the managers.
