but they seem to be a pretty good investment

League 14 0
Supercup 14 0

I have a League loss to Black Cougars in my division. Otherwise I should have a clean record this season, too.

just looking at the coaches vs salary conundrum from a slightly different angle ..... there is a team in Dragons 1.1 with NO coaches , he's also got a stadium of only 5,000, and his Transfer History reads 0 buys/0 sells (Sfniner08 - take careful note ).
But the best stat of all ? taking into account all the supposed "limitations" of the previous stats I've just quoted .... He's 8-6 in the league.

I don't know about you guys, but I call that VERY IMPRESSIVE indeed ... if there was a vote for Manager of the season, I know who would get my vote !

He has done a pretty fair job so far. He is in the middle..of the division.

Eagles, the team you are mentioning, is doing pretty good. To take a little deeper dig here:

Eagles wins

Total opponent w/L is 25-73
Average score of those games is 23-8

Eagles losses

Total opponent w/l is 70-14 (however one team went bot earlier in the season).
Average score of those games was 5-49.

So Eagles beats those teams they should beat and are losing to the bigger teams.

I'm actually impressed with Yurop Lions. They lost by one point to Mystic and one point to Horada in the last few games. They lost by 9 to Sweaty Bulls. He has kept games against the big boys close. In the supercup he lost by a field goal to the Mighty Magpies.

So against 4 teams who have a combined 48-8 in 1.1 leagues he has lost by an average of 3.25 points. I'm worried about facing him myself.

He's done a fine job when you consider no coaches, 5000 stadium, and no transfers. It's basically a homegrown team plus 6 Draftees ... so to me that means any success is down to good training (to build players) and good tactics.
Got to admit ... I still think 144,000 stadium plus coaches is bordering on being a no-brainer ... but I applaud managers who go out on a limb and try something a little different

Well, you won't have to face Yurop this year ... whereas I've got him away tomorrow, so thanks for getting me worried ! I did manage a win against him earlier in the season ... but I'm guessing it was a fluke ... he probably had his B-Team out that day .....

850k for TE and ST combined, while i have no coaches at this positions.
but thats the best point of this game, every manager can choose his own path to success
