Nice work.
A good research may be do seeing the matches of "only running" teams, particulary when two of these teams clash.
More runs, more tough defenses...and more tacles by the left DE.

BTW: the numbers you wrote are still meaningful: against left end runs, the left DE (that is on the worst position to grab the RB) takes steadily more tackles than the right DE, that is in a perfect position of the field.

Not necessarily. The RDE would be at the point of attack and possibly double teamed (LT & TE) taking him out of the play and allowing the ROLB to make most of the tackles. The RT may not be good enough to block a LDE with 50 spd/agi/vis/int/pos (I won't write actual attributes of DEs I scouted, but they are substantial) and the RB is only an average speed player, I can see how the LDE may diagnose a run and get to the point of tackle very quickly. I don't know that the engine takes into account "traffic" that the LDE would normally encounter when running to the other side of the LOS. I assume that it is only a straight line which explains why the LDE makes tackles of -1, 0, & 1 yard gained on those plays.

If you want to see how the left DE is flying whit this game engine, look at this match, or at this, or this.
Only one number this time: 95% of all the runs over the left end ended from -1 to +1 are tacked by the left DE.
