It probably goes beyond ... talent not being important. Given that talent impacts on wage - for the majority of your roster - its actually of negative benefit.

Probably better for a player to be 0.5 talent than 5 talent for a lot of your roster.

I thought salary was bases solely on maximum skill level.

they are, and therefore somehow connected to talent, because talent limits skill progress

Since talent isn't important in the common sense anymore, maybe it would be a way to upgrade it, if it is a factor (together with TW) in how fast a player developes?

I don't think it is too late to re evaluate talent's affects in the game. No one is at a level above 35ish, I wouldn't think anyway. If it stays as is then talent has such a negligible affect that it doesn't matter. If you don't want to change the talent scale then is it too late to make talent more a rarity then it is now? The draft is packed full of 4, 4.5, and some 5 star talents. Perhaps it should be a scale like only 4 out of 96 have a 5 talent and 8 have 4.5 or 4 star. I don't know, just made some numbers up, but the idea of limiting high talent might help...

It would be nice, if players with high talent gain something faster. Trainingpoints (e.g. 5*talent 18 additionals TP, 4,5* Talent 16 TP....) or players gain faster experience.

sorry, just don't like this idea at all ... for me, if you want to "gain something faster" then TW is what you're after. To have Talent do similar would be to unnecessarily duplicate things.
I also think that any moves to increase the significance/relevance of Talent would be a backward step ....it would be a bit too "GI" for my liking ....somebody will be suggesting to introduce BPOS next

Don't we already have bpos here as there are ratings for each position for each player?

If you don't do anything with the talent now then it is useless.

NO ! .... the RZA 'rating' is totally different. BPOS is a dumb -TOG-concept where a player is hard-coded into a position (LB,CB), RZA rating is smart as it is "transferable" according to a player's relevant skills

NO ! ....Talent works fine now as it is an overall cap to eventual limits for trainable skills.
