Add another week to the off season, I’m still working on getting organized and new games start Saturday, an extra week would help.

When I wasn't in any playoffs, the off-season seemed like a really long time.

When I've been in the playoffs (and had some success), it doesn't seem very long.

Not sure what the solutions is. I think moving the draft up a few days would help, but I don't know if that's possible.

I don't mind a little off-season quiet time. Coincidentally, all three of the on-line games I'm active in had their off-season at the same time. I had a chance to read a few books, watch a little television, take a shower....

Yeah, the 3 games that I play were all in offseason at the same time as well. Very boring for me though. I can't wait for this season to start here. If I had to wait longer I'd go crazy... or crazier.

Also disagree with the PC hit on older players. I doubt it will effect me enough to get rid of any vets.

I like the other ideas though. QB rating would really be a good way of showing how the QB's are performing on the field. FG suggestion would be good too, detailed stats are my friend.

QB rating is ok either way.

The 30 year old thing...well theoretically you would expect that by the time they are 30 that the physicals are pretty much maxed so training pc is only natural at that age. So, I have no problems with that.

TM search function, well it wouldn't necessarily be efficient to look by position. It isn't often that I would buy a young player, who isn't a draft player, and then keep them at the same position.

So you buy players on the xfer market and "often" change their position? Please explain why?

Yes. The majority of players I buy are youth. I find physical caps first, then decide which position.

Yeah - most younger players' position skills are pretty level, so they can be built into almost anything once you know their Speed and Strength.

For example - I will train Speed 90% and Vision 10% until Speed gets a yellow " ! " cap warning. If Speed is high, then I know I want to use him at a speed position (WR, CB, RB, SF, LB...) If Speed is low, then I hope his Strength will be high, and switch to Strength 90% and perhaps Positioning 10%.

As long as you wait to train Tackling, Blocking, Running, etc., then he still has the possibility to play any position. Once you start training Blocking (for example) he can only do well as OL, FB or TE.

One of my 17yo in YA looks like this:

Strength 36.9 (near cap)
Speed 25.3

Tackling 9.0
Blocking 9.7
Carrying 7.6
Catching 5.5
Passing 8.6

I was hoping he might make a good OL/DL but his Strength will cap a bit low.

So I'll switch him to Speed training. I won't train his other skills until I see his Speed cap. Then I'll decide what position to train him up for, or sell him if his Speed is too low.

So it doesn't matter (to me) what his position was when I bought him.

If you are not in the play-offs.

The off season lasts forever ....

extending it sounds a horrible idea to me. Means teams will have weeks and weeks with nothing to do other than fiddle with your draft board and play friendlies.
