Id have to disagree - id go with Megatron.

Larry Fitz is a fine receiver in his own right, but i give the Calvin the nod as he has basically been the Lions offense since he arrived in the NFL and yet put up consistently great stats - since Stafford has arrived he has gone onto another level and is probably the #1 received in the NFL.

Fitz has always been part of a good receiving corps at the Cards, having the likes of Boldin, Breaston etc there (dont hurt to have had Warner at QB either!) and although he was solid last season he wasnt spectacular when he was their feature target in a lesser O.

Wouldnt sniff at either - but given the choice id s e l e c t CJ.

Calvin Johnson by a country mile.

for the benefit of the Americans ... a country mile is the same as a mile, just a bit more pleasantly rural, think more Earl Grey tea and Cream Scones, and less smog and drive-by shootings

Megatron, but only by a few inches. You can't coach height, and Johnson's roughly 3 inches taller than Fitzgerald.

I'm surprised that Andre Johnson's not a part of this informal poll, though.

Currently and IMHO there isnt nobody even close to his skill level, the guy is a beast pure and simple. Does it help to have a good QB throwing your way hell yes, but remenber he has been in Detroit since the Lions sucked and he was allways a beast back then, now with a QB that is better then the AVG QB in NFL, his qualitys are exponantiated to the maximum.

His ability to make plays is impressive, that combined to the fact that he makes a QB look good even when he over throws or under throws him and he is yet capable of making the catch. The guy is impressive and if he is lucky enough to stay healthy he will be dominant for years to come, nobody is even close.

Ask these guys.....

Double Coverage should stop him....Think again

Ok Ok but Triple Coverage has got to make him STOP...NOPE

I like Laryy better Just because true possive recever are a dieing breed.

While don't get me wrong Calvin can bet larry any day in a foot race.
But I Blevie that Larry can run cleaner rounts and make toughter cacthes in traffic any time. While Calvin may be high flying and great at making highlights. It the stuff that doesn't make the lights that make a great WR.

Last but not lest Larry is past his prime as he getting old. Why Calvin is just starting.

Like my old favorit TJ Hous and Hinezes Ward Who could always get open and find ways to get open with out the speed that most had. Back in their prime any way. Plus they both knew how to run block that is some what of a lost art these day among WR

Not going to argue with your opinipn only gona say that Fitzgerald is 28 years old so is getting old like everyone else but he isnt old, if much he is or should be reaching his prime at this age, but he cant seem to make a diference without a Legit QB like he had in K. Warner. While Megatron is 26 years old and soon will also reach is prime years, but he unlike Fitz showed up even when the Lions were a team without an Average QB i wont even say legit because for me Stafford needs to play better to be a legit QB and for the Lions to have a shoot at the big Game come season end.

Has for running clean routes i agree with you thats something C. Johnson needs to improve on. He was better running routes last season when compared to prior seasons, and with the work etic the guy has i have no doubts we will see a even better Megatron this season.

The positioning of Larry is better than from Calvin. I think, that his hands are better, too. Fitz made some outstanding one-handed-grabs last season. I hope I can find the right video.

When most people think about Fitz, than they think, that he is not so fast. But he is fast enough to go into open space and can make long runs after the catch.

And it is right, if Larry would have a better QB, than he would make 1500+yards every season.

Both are great players, but Larry is more complete. I think Larry is at his prime time, but his production will be not worse in the next 3-4 years.
