What level of importance would you give to Footwork on a RB in RZA not IRL mind you?

0 to 10

I only have been playing RZA for about two weeks or so, but i stil llike to give my opinion. With only a microscopic experience playing RZA and when comparing my two RB's id say it has some importance. Maybe a 6,5 in the scale.

How about you Vets and other Newbies what do you guys think?

I would train if after:

Str Max)
Spd (Max)
Carry
Agility
Position
Vision

...and my ratio of skill levels would be around:

Carry to Agility: close to 1-1 (so 30/30 for example)
Carry to Position/Vision: close to 3-2 (so 30/20 for example)
Carry to Footwork: around 2-1 (so 30/15 for example)

My draftee RB looks a lot like that. My trained-from-scratch RBs; not so much!!! Their Agility is a lot lower.

So - about a 4 for me.

Just my guess...its about a 2.

I'm not sure what affect footwork has on tackling or breaking tackles. It may, but its a secondary skill for that. So if it does, its probably in the 2 or 3 range and if it doesn't, then it's a zero.

So basicly your saying is one of the last to train skill for a RB. Im quite surprised tbh, i thought that it could help alot, specialy for a RB that have alot of speed and agility but not so much Strength.

Have anyone tried to build up Footwork with a RB that has alot of Speed and agility but low Strength? I am wondering if i should try it.

The reason i started this thread was because of my two RB, one is Avging 4.6 and the other 3.7 per carry if im not mistaken, at first look i thought it was because one has higher footwork, but now loking closely he also has higher strength and that must be making the diference.

Has i thought after reading Lee post, it seems to be really low priority skill to build up oin RB's.

Dam it everytime i think of footwork i think of two things:

OL/DL & RB's!

I just invision the RB's needing footwork to cut and juke the defenders.

Hard to tell exactly when it applies from reading the manual:

Footwork
Footwork is the skill to determine how stable a guy is on his feet. Tackles and Blocks are well supported by footwork.

Does this mean staying on your feet when a defender hits you or staying on your feet when cutting/changing directions etc. or in both situations.

It is intriguing, by that description it seems to help to not get pancaked when blocking OL. And the same applys for the DL in reverse Cakes. OR not getting pacaked.

By saying takles are well supported it muct bring some advantage to a RB but to what extent i dunno, ill probaly do a test build with one of my RB's or better yet since i need another RB (only have 2 atm) i will do the build test on him providing is young enough.

You can probably look on the TL for a test RB candidate who has some Footwork and Carrying to start with. Maybe a minimum of 12 in each, and under 22yo so you have some time to train....

Not sure if your interperting what the manual says the same way has i am, the way i see it it says, that the player with high Footwork will be able to endure Tackles making them miss. But for the OL, should help moving side to side, LB to try to fight of the RB cut and fake. The TE move Side side and block and FB both.
