It´s almost impossible to get a Punter/Kicker out of the draft except you put him on Number1 of your Draftlist.

Last Year in Fire 1.1 there have been 2 Punters and no Kicker, this year its 1 Punter and again no Kicker.

In Dragons 1.1 next Draft there are 3 K's and 2 P's
Last season, one of the Punters went quite early to a Bot ( I think)... and 2 of the kickers went to the same team because he mistakenly set those "round" flags incorrectly (he wanted a kicker in the 3rd round, I think .. but ended up with 2 K's in the early rounds).

I remember two Drafts ago, the Punters and Kickers were off the board really quickly because the Bots seemed to make a beeline for the Punters and Kickers

The next Galaxy draft is loaded with those guys... 2 punter and 5 kicker! That won't be solved by 2 bots.

Sure it will!

Each bot drafts 3 K/P - so at end there is only one left as big prize for human team

I know there is no position penalty for P/K and K/P. But can other positions act as P or K as well without penalty?

If so: Since you like him, I guess, his PHYS are high. Maybe you could play him in another position AND as punter?

There is a positional penalty for other than K/P playing as K/P.

This Punter would eventually make a great QB, but it would take too long as his passing and agility are painfully low. I've also got a draft QB, plus there are 15 QB's in my Draft ! (although some of them are shockingly bad).
I guess I just don't have the time/patience to re-train Draftees unless it's something more simple such as LB to DL , or KR to RB maybe.

Thanks for the reminder! My Punter got hurt last training u p d a t e and I put in the next guy with the highest P and Strength. Guess I have to decide if he's better than my K.

Is this also true during the free position change period?

Easy answer.

No I wouldn't draft him.

BUT...

I would wait and watch for one that WILL come on the TM if I really needed one. Someone will get stuck with a punter and will want some cash for him or a bot team will and the punter will eventually end up on the tm.

This leads me to a question, and if this is "high jacking" the thread I could start a new one.

What positions would you rather:

A. Draft

B. Buy on the TM

C. Build through the YA

A:
Look for key positions from the draft QB TE LB SF

B:
Always looking for bargains. Any way i can strengthen i will, but im not breaking my bank for players.

C:
I think any position can be built through the youth academy but O and D linemen would be the easiest. All depends on age, teamwork intelligence then talent for me. In that order

I'd say

A - QB and LB on the grounds that 50 Intelligence is hard to come by in the academy. After that RB (would play at FB), WR, DL, I think.

B - K and P. On the basis you can get Strong Legs pretty cheap. If they turn out to be high Strength then you are laughing. After that the same kinda players as are in A.

C - OL because my best coach is an OL coach, followed by CB which should be pretty easy to train.

Forgot about assistant coach impact on YA and such. That plays a big role I suppose....

Draft:

I focus on on the key positions for my style of playing. Bad ass defense and strong ground game. So far I've drafted 3 lb's, 3 dl, 2 oline, and a safety.

LB is the main area I focused on as they can be put in any defense position.

If I see a great qb I really want or any position that has someone head and shoulders above then I will look at them too.

TM

I'm looking for any starting holes not addressed in the draft. This is usually k/p (which I already bought), wr, cb.

YA

Here I end up building rb, te, fb, oline, and dline.

Oline and dline because they are easier to build.
RB because I can build myself a better rb than what I get in the draft.
FB and TE because when the youth cap early then I switch them to fb or te depending on carry vs catching.
I build
