Hey there!
I am enjoying RZA a lot, it's my second season right now, and the game's pretty awesome. I've been reading a bit about this other thing, -TOG-, and was wondering, what the differences are and how it compares to RZA? |

I can give you a referrer link if you want (I won't post it here as Pete will ban me). G*I is more one-dimensional and less complex than RZA, but plenty of managers here still play both. |

If you accept my advice, donĀ“t register there. It's a waste of time in a game with no present and no future.

I think it's partly my fault - I posted this a while back in older thread....

Also i agree, but what it means TMG?? Too Much "GI" btw, off topic: I play in a football (soccer to my American friends) management sim, and whenever anyone types any variation of "hat trick", they have a script that returns TOG (for The Other Game). Newbies go crazy trying to figure that one out! ....and suddenly "GI" turned into "TOG". I had to buy a new keyboard when it happened. Last edited on 2012-06-13 16:55:23 by Lee1950 |

I am new to this game but have been playing -TOG-for a year now. So far this game seems much more realistic and involved. In TOG it does not have much in common with real american football, for instance my current offence has just three starting offensive lineman with 2TE, 3WR,FB,HB,QB, it is all pass. In the real football world try running 3 offensive lineman and tell me how long your QB's carier is or if he ever gets to throw the ball because of defensive pressure. Hey there! They are like inbred brothers so similar it's scary but retardedly different at the same time.
As for RZA Oh yes much more realistic......QB's that can't throw further than 10 yard passes without the ball being picked off and run back the distance. Receivers who make a short catch and fall over after 9 yards max. Fullbacks that don't block on running plays. Cmon this game is no better than T.O.G. overall at the moment. It is more complicated with more things to worry about which will suit some. It does somethings differently and does do some of them better. I like both and will continue to play both. The one big thing going for this game is the Admins seem far more active on the forums and things seem to be progressing steadily but lets see how long that lasts. Like T.O.G. I will give this a red hot go and develop my players and see if the games become more realistic onfield, but I reserve judgement on that for now. Because at the moment a 3.4 yard per attempt passer is total crap. Plus a running game is perfectly possible in T.O.G. Don't listen to people like Strepitoso his view is totally warped, go look for yourself and make your own mind up. |

Yes, the physics engine in both is the same but this one has been improved quite a bit more. Both have the incredible lack of FB blocking on runs and no backs recieving. How anyone does a physics engine like that in the first place is anyone's guess.
The big advantage here is depth chart, playbook, formations (no stupid formations possible) and a less drawn out path to financial equality with veterans. Overall it's much better here but the first one to come up with a "real" physics engine will undoubtedly see a huge increase in supporters. I will pay for neither until this physics engine turns up - if ever. The world has been waiting for that day for over 20 years so I'll believe it when I see it. |
