don't want to take away from your win, but I am confused...he has much higher ratings as you and beat you handily in the regular season. All of the sudden a team that was #1 rushing in 2.1 dragons and averaged 39.75 points is blanked 20-0? Fishy...

I'm as surprised as you are. Comparing our two games, we've both improved by around 2% overall in the ratings since the first game and we're still using more or less the same playbooks it seems. The only difference I can think of is that I now have coaches while back when the first game was being played I had none.
Could this coupled with him only rushing on shotgun4wr be the reason? Or did he simply play relaxed?

Oh, another difference is I suppose I had the home field advantage this time.

Home field advantage wouldn't be worth 50point swing lol. Coaches would help you, for sure. Still though, #1 rush offense and number 1 rush defense, #2 pass defense for the season to lose like that....

He has used that same formation all season.

I don't really get it honestly. Maybe he doesn't want to go to 1.1 and he threw the game? It's not like he was unlucky based on game stats. He wasn't even close.

Game Recaps and what is next:

1.1

Horada over Yurop 7-6. Tough game for Yurop as his kicker missed a 48 yard field goal with about 2 minutes left. Of course earlier in the game Horada missed a 34 yarder and twenty something one. The game of missed fg's here.

Mystic over Shoutin 35-3. Signature Mystic win with 3 touchdown passes (2 long ones) that negate the time of possession.

Panthers over Stuttgart 16-3. Stuttgart didn't make it easy as Panthers clung to a 7-3 half time lead. Stuttgart simply ran out of gas here.

Sweaty over Valhalla 10-0. If you would have told me Sweaty had triple the time of possession, double the first downs, and nearly double the yardage I would have thought it would have been 35-0 game. It is amazing that with those stats that Valhalla lost only by 10.

Next is:

Pink Panthers
@ Majalorca Pigs

These division rivals go at it again. They have split the regular season for the last 3 seasons. In season 2 and 4 the home teams won, in season 3 the away teams won. Panthers have lost in the playoffs to the Pigs 2 seasons in a row (once on the road, and once at home). Will Panthers figure it out this time? I have no idea. The games aren't always close either. Flip a coin.

Sweaty Bulls Padova
@ MALAKAS BULL

Malajas has beaten Sweaty in the last 2 meetings....

Horadada Blues
@ S F

I like my chances but there are not guarantees in these games.lol

Mystic Warriors
@ Girona Dragons

Coin flip.

Will do the 2.x tomorrow.

If that's a hint that a team Tanked in order to stay in 2.x then let me tell you .... the alleged method here isn't the best way to do it.
I've seen a team (Not in Dragons , I should point out ) that has intentionally avoided promotion for the last 2 seasons ....I've got a careful eye on this team to see if he does the same again now !

Whilst this isn't intended to be a "How to Lose intentionally" guide, it's common sense if you consider this ..... the team that I'm referring to never loses until the Conference final. He then loses in the Conference Final, and then loses in the Promotion/Relegation game (and turns OFF Bot Flush thereby staying in 2.x for another season). He even lost intentionally one season in the Promotion/Relegation game to a Bot (Oh the shame of it ! ). Obviously if you do it this way you maximise your number of matches thereby maximising your revenue.

Talking of which, if anybody is thinking of staying in 2.x all the time, have a read of the News 30-06-2012 ..... the 85% cap on ticket sales for Div 2.x means that you might want to re-do the Maths and calculate if it's better to be in 1.1 rather than 2.x.

not meant to be some kind of 'moral lecture' ..... just meant to be food for thought.

That news post seemed to tell me that a losing season in 1.1 would be about as profitable as a winning season 2.x due to the changes to attendance from losing streaks.

That said, I'm not turning off bot flush so what happens happens.

There won't be a bot flush unless Dream Team makes it the Conference Championship and loses as a bot

I was looking at that, the day of the divisional playoffs is the 21st day the Dream Team manager will have been gone so if he's not a bot on day rollover before the game he's actually got a good chance of making it to the conference final.

ok, I will not have much access for a few weeks starting monday. Don't think I've left the game or anything. This also means that I might now be able to make changes for the upcoming games if I am lucky enough to move on past Horada or the game after. So I guess that is good news for whoever I play as I can't gameplan. I am going on a road trip to see my dad in another state....
