The Italian anthem is a jaunty little ditty , it's the type of tune that Giorgio Moroder or Stock,Aitken & Waterman could really go to town with .... I can just imagine walking past Club El ShagPalace in Magaluf at Midnight and hearing a tune booming out and recognizing it as 'The Italian National Anthem (Giorgio Moroder Club Disco Dance 2012 Remix) 
and the Brits should replace our anthem with the 12" original mix of Blue Monday by New Order ...... that'd get the Olympic Stadium bouncing on it's foundations ! |

There's a big fuss with the musician's union who are not happy at the Olympic organiser's attempts to hire musicians for free during the opening and closing ceremonies. They are trying to pass the games of as a charity event.

The Tories are used to sideswipes, but usually from within ! .... Margaret Thatcher had an iron grip on that party, but since her political demise, the Tories are the party of in-fighting and civil war ..... a few veiled sideswipes will be pretty much par for the course for the Tory hierarchy, you don't get to the top there without having both good connections and a very thick skin. |
