In particular, the BBC coverage has been the best I have ever experienced - EVERY second of EVERY event live via digital TV channels.

Totally agree with this - it has been amazing presentation - they have got the presenters bang on - the right mix of knowledge, experience, humour and emotion - John Inverdale's interview of those two rowers who finished second couldnt help but bring you to tears.

I also liked how with every event they went through the event in terms of what happens, what to look for, what the qualifying procedure is and a website to go for more information and local areas where to take part - that is really how GB will get added value from this Olympics.

I think our support will stand us out from the rest - its just a shame that today is the closing day.

What is important to bear in mind is that so many of the anchor presenters have been largely out of their comfort zones - Volleyball, Handball, Martial Arts, Sailing, etc - you just don't see them on the TV here in the UK very often - so the way Balding/Inverdale/et al have adapted is testament to how good at their jobs they truly are.

And I sincerely hope the viewing figures have been decent for the 'minor' sports, so the media obsession with 11 prima donnas vying for acting glory is in someway undermined.

I've been watching athletics, judo, taekwondo, boxing, rowing, sailing, BMX, swimming, cycling.

Football? I saw 45 minutes of Team GB women against Cameroon. Tennis? Sorry Andy Murray, nada. Basketball? not a single second.

And it's that choice of viewing which has made the games for me!

Team GB was on in the pub the other week and no one batted an eyelid. I saw Murray interviewed after he got his medal thats it. Basketball? Do they still have the US v the rest?

I must admit to swearing at the TV when those badminton players were throwing their games. As for not trying anyone explain why Australia wasn't thrown out?

The great thing was that through a click of a button you could access all the sports that were on at that particular time. Which hasn't really been possible before. I downloaded the iphone app and although the pictures arent that smooth if you are going through a crappy signalling area like New Street Station in Birmingham it was still great. I think the most exciting part for me was actually the womens triathlon to go through all that and get to the finish line only to then have to wait while they examined a photo finish.

Some of the commentators have been brilliant especially when you get someone who knows what they are talking about alongside them and to be fair most of these people have tried to put everything into English non followers can understand.

Maybe the local BBC stations could add a section into their sports slot where they visit a local rowing club, cycling club, judo etc. The local press should create a section in the paper where these clubs can advertise free of charge. It's all ok having all these heroes from the olympics but now we have to make it easy for the kids to try these sports to create the next generation of heroes.

We won the Olympics and we have really embraced it as a nation now its their turn to give us the chance to get the kids off the sofa, xboxes or whatever and out trying these sports.

Can anyone tell me why we have the equestrian still in the olympics?

Something to do with the fact that Princess Anne is the British Olympic Association President and a British representative in the International Olympic Committee perhaps

Who most qualifies for the term "Hollywood Royalty"?

a) the better American actors?
b) Buckingham Palace?
