Pete will clarify this but no in my opinion. its to stop someone running just one play ie the rush over the left end from the i formation for example

ahhhh ..... the Gimmick formations/tactics, as mentioned in Coaches Corner ....... so, the curse of Coaches Corner strikes again

It comes down to some math...the D knows your pass/rush distribution per formation. And therefore it would make a more educated guess on the next play than if you would pass and rush out of different formations...

Is this known to the D b4 the game based on past games or is it something that only happens inside each game as it unfolds?

That is per game. If you like to involve knowledge from further games, you have to scout your opp and adjust the tactics...

What are the chances of getting a breakdown of formation use % and run/pass % in team stats, especially for offences for the last x games?

It took me a couple of hours but I have that on every league opponent I have this season (excluding the BOTS). This goes back to every game that they have played since they took over the account. It's not as comprehensive as it could be for example my first league match up is against Hawks Jungle I cant tell you where they run the most out of the i-formation but I can tell you their run % from that position and what defences they have been successful against (and weakest)

Weee... looks like passing is more effective... Friendly

These are the sort of stats I was hoping to be getting by now against weaker opposition with a great QB, lightning quick receiving corps, and big strong OL... plus a heavy emphasis on passing formations.

Possibly too many breakaway TDs, but I didn't scout his secondary so I don't know how quick they are and the slowest of my 4 main wideouts is speed 47+

btw, a few extra numbers have appeared? display bug?
