I've got 2 Germans in my Youth Academy, and they both have the surname of Voigt. I know of the cyclist Jens Voigt ......... so is Voigt a common surname in Germany ?
I seem to remember that Jens Voigt comes from the (former) East Germany ... is Voigt a typical 'East German' name ? |

quite common...not like Müller or Lehmann or Schmidt, but common...there are different ways to write it, like Voigt, Vogt, Vocht...

Who says that the Germans have no sense of humour
