I was 17 when the wall opened, and it felt really good. I was involved in history. Might sound pathetic...but it is hard to describe or even to understand if you were not there.

September 89 - June 90...the most exciting time of my life, except wedding and birth of kids...

Tragically, that's when most Americans first realized that the Germany had been two countries. Previously, most of us thought they were just separate states/provinces like North & South Dakota or Mexico & New Mexico. :-)
