NYB Q4 0:37 Josiah Corbitt (K) kicks the ball for the Fieldgoal, 25 yard Fieldgoal is good

Oh it hurts for sure Fear the 5-3 defense

One hour before Abe Pavel will play his last game for Scheper Rams. In a beautiful game against Farmsum Islanders in the derby of The Netherlands.

He is bye the way still on the TM and Still cheap. So if you want him longer in Fire 1,1 buy him

WEEK II REVIEW

Let me start off with a match that was much antecipated (atleast by myself) Valdanois vs Barnin Steel. Both teams were expected to play a tight game based on their actual Unnofficial Power Rankings, but Steel managed to put a relatively big gap in the scoreboard in the end, that despite ending the first quarter on the downside of the game trailing 3-0...by the way, they only alowed those 3 points.....TOTAL!!! A fantastic performance by their defense that catapulted them to a 28-3 win against one of the most improved teams form last season. Maybe the Gladiators just found out they do indeed have a team that can fight them for the divisional title...Gladiators who won yet again convincingly, despite Nakkiga's good effort it came up short, Gladiators won it 30-13 and remain undefeated in the 1.1 league for 19 games in a row now! Since we are talking about the powerhouses of our league, the Magpies also won their game, this time against South African newcomers K.A.F Guardians by 35-10, a good effort by the rookie team indeed, aldo Magpies controled the tempo of the game and the win was never at risk. The ASU Bears also won their game, after going down in the season opener, this time they didn't gave much of a chance to the Gamblers who had previously beaten the Mighty Lions, Mighty Lions who ended up nabbing their first win against a old 2.1 adversary, the Terrapins, the final score was 23-7 with the Terrapins scoring 7 on a final Tick Hail-Mary (something that seems to be happening quite often this season). Keeping with the AC East to follow the Nederlands duel between the Islanders and the Rams, the favourites beeing the Rams, and they took upon themselves to give Abe Pavel a happy fairwell, that despite the game beeing very close entering tthe 4th quarter with only 2 points separating the two sides, the Rams showed thy still had another gear left and burst to a 26-7 win scoring 17 points in the 4th quarter alone. For the record Abe Pavel rushed for 28 yards no TD's in this game...(atleast he got the win in his final game)... In the "middle" of the pack we had a couple of interesting games unfolding, like the Academicals away win in Spain vs the Acorns by 24-20 showing they mean business afterall. Also NY Big Blue taking on the Nasty Squirrels in France and coming out on top with a 23-19 win to keep them undefeated for the season, and to keep the Squirrels still winningless. And the great great game between the Walla Walla Work Release and the Kentucky Thoroughbreds, this american duel ended up just falling to the Thoroughbreds side after a great comeback try from the WWWR, 24-23 was the final score of this nailbiter! Saved the best matchups for last, first with what in my opinion was an upset with the Blue Bull showing they are a team to be reackon with specialy at home beating the Spartans 19-10 showing great consistency trough out the match. And also and probably even biggest upset was the Lyon Eagles loss against what it seems to be a renewed and so far undefeated Gattopardo side who just to much to handle in the 2nd half of this game, final score 33-10 Gattopardo! The Lambruschia vs Underachievers game who tilted towards the favourites this time, playing at home Lambruschia ended up with the win, but the game was close, aldo it seemed like Lambruschia had a diferent gear to use everytime the Underachievers came close.

That's it for this week, sorry if I missed your team, trust me it is not on purpose, I'm sure next time it will be in the review (or something like that)!!!

It is not a surprise for me too.
There was no match for my team : no defense, no attack, a pity game for my players and for their manager who do not understand how the tactics works

LOL!

Just read this, and you're right, really thought they were form South Africa for some reason...

On an unrelated note, it should be a very interesting League week day tomorrow, specialy as all teh games will be within own division games...So plenty of potentialy exciting games to follow

My picks of the bunch to follow closely:

Barnim Steel vs. Urshult Gladiators AFC
Expect Barnim Steel to bring it's best game to this match, they are still undefeated and have been looking very competent in their two previous games. Still I pick Gladiators to win this one 24-20.

Lambruschia vs. Schwaben Spartans
Spartans coming form a somewhat unexpected lost, should be a hard game for them to bounce back agaisnt the league runner up from last season, even if they are playing at home. I stil pick Lambruschia to win after seeing how they handled the Underachievers. 27-13.

River City Gamblers vs. Scheper Rams
Gamblers coming from a loss after a opening day win will visit the Rams who had the opposite outcome, lost their first game and won last week in the Dutch affair against the Islanders, both are concistent teams and should be a balanced game with few points separating them, my pick is Rams win it in OT 21-14.
