One thing I've never quite understood. How can a team that's 5-0 in the supercup, with 10 games still to go, and also be placed 2nd behind someone who is 6-0, already be in the playoffs?

The x is only temporary and mark after every SC-gameday the #1 in all divisions and the 16 best runnerups.

a little on topic... how many 1 loss teams have (if ever) made the supercup playoffs?

Number of teams with a 14-1 record participating SC playoffs: Season 1: 35 out of 48 => 73% Season 2: 13 out of 48 => 27% Season 3: 12 out of 48 => 25% Season 4: 8 out of 48 => 17% Season 5: 6 out of 48 => 13% Season 6: 31 out of 128 => 24% |

But remember that the rules have been changed since season 6.
Until then it was "best 48 teams with best record and best PD get a playoff seat". Now it is "each division champion gets a playoff seat and additional 16 teams not being division champions with best record and best PD get a playoff seat" So that means: Even a team with more than 1 losses could make the playoffs if it wins the division. Last year we had 15 1-loss division winners. |

thanks for info! i was gonna start treating SC games as test games and whatnot if i had no shot. there's 1 more human (maybe 2) i could lose to so i might as well try and win all these things if there's a chance. i have a great PD for tiebreakers right now.

Ten years later...
I can't figure out those "x"s... Kraichgau Buccaneers have the 3-1 win-to-loss record and no "x". I clicked "sort by Division. They're in the fourth place from the top. Below them are for example Viper (Dragons I) with a 2-1 record and an "x". Even Diablitos and Islanders (both Claymore I and both with 2-2 records) got an "x". Also, in case I misunderstand what is meant by "division" in Supercup, there is another Monarchs I team, Free Agent Mascots, currently with 2-1 record and they have the "x". So that's a false path, too... Nothing urgent (I am not in an imminent danger of making it to the playoffs ) but if somebody had time to waste and explained, I'd appreciate it EDIT: a missing info - Kraichgau are in Division 6 of the SC Last edited on 2023-06-15 19:15:02 by jpnwrt |

The Supercup divisions are irrelavant regarding the x, they are only for scheduling. Use Button 'divisional standing' and then use 'overall' The 1st 128 teams get an x, the rest not, means at that time those 128 teams would have had a playoff spot. If you just look at the divisions, the x makes no sense at times. |
