Thanks Ombi - nice one mate

OK Guys, the tournament is underway for next Sunday, and here are your confirmed 8 runners for the first IECC

LIST OF TEAMS FOR IECC 1

DERBYSHIRE ELECTRIC

ADMIRALS 1.1

A very progressive team in RZA, improving season on season and currently on pace to make the Playoffs in 1.1 for the first time ever. Have claimed some big scalps in the past - but also prone to a big boy whumping.

MORGANTOWN MAD DOGS

ADMIRALS 1.1

Consistent Admirals 1.1 Playoff Team, Morgantown are in the top echelons of RZA along with the likes of the Cats and Raiders whom also are playing in this event. Very strong overall - i cant be too nice about them though as i play them in the league in a few hours time and i may scare myself to death!

FAJNY TIM

DRAGONS 1.1

Bagss and his Fajny Tim team make their presence felt in the IECC - Friendly Cup regular Bagss is always a tough cookie to crack and well respected amongst his peers - very much holding his own in a very tough Dragons Conference. Wouldnt be a shock to see him at the business end of the tournament

GALRAUCH RAIDERS

ADMIRALS 1.1

The third Admirals representative to enter - and the most feared so far. Monkey, now less one appendix, has always been a fine and tactically astute opponent and will take some beating. You can definitely see him lining up in the Grand Final tournament.

BUDAPEST WOLVES

THUNDER 1.1

I have to admit a distinct lack of knowledge about Janos and his Budapest Wolves - but they have met the eligibility criteria and are welcome to the IECC - may be a surprise package? We'll soon find out! Welcome and Good Luck

URSHULT GLADIATORS AFC

FIRE 1.1

One of THE biggest and best teams in RZA, the Urshult Gladiators, are the IECC's 6th entrants and must be considered as one of the favourites to take the whole thing down. KingoftheHill has put together an awesome team that are constantly one of the 'teams to beat' - can they be stopped?

SLAVIA PANKRAC

THUNDER 1.1

Mirek also enters his fine team to the first IECC challenge and again its another notable entrant to the competition which again raises the standard. Complete and strong on both sides of the ball, Slavia will be a very tough nugget to crack. A quality addition.

CHESHIRE CATS

ADMIRALS 1.1

Oddball is the 8th quality entrant to the IECC - dont let his current league record fool you - this is one serious team, taking it easy in S7 by his own admission. If he flicks the switch for this tournament - and his entrance alone suggests he will - lookout - could well be the best Admirals rep team in this competition.

just did Div 1/2/1/2 as teams applied in random spots - Ombi took Razor's slot

would look weird whatever the permutation...it is what it is.

Underway in the first IECC - GameDay 1 today and some eye catching results.

The Derbyshire Electric made their bow and franked their current form by pouring it on against the Budapest Wolves - 55:17 frazzling the Wolves in the first game to be played. Later in the day, and in the same division, Slavia Pankrac outfought Fajny Tom 17:14 - the two games winners next meet, with the winner likely securing their place in the Semi Finals.

The Urshult Gladiators tore the Mad Dogs to shreds in an ominous looking win. Ombi's team no slouches but seemingly had little answer to the Gladiators offense, who put up over 40 points. The Galrauch Raiders also enjoyed a healthy win over the Cheshire Cats.

Still all to play for though for all 8 teams as the journey to becoming the ultimate IECC Champions begins.......

Forgot to change to my other playbook against him. I probably would have lost anyway, but now I have a horrible PD to make up.

GameDay 2 in IECC 1 :

In the battle of the unbeatens in Division 1, it was Slavia Pankrac who just overcame the Derbyshire Electric 26-24 to book their place in the semi finals. The Electric fought gallantly against superior opposition but just fell short of a famous win. They will now need to beat Fajny Tim to claim the second playoff spot with Pankrac. Fajny Tim had little problems desptaching the Budapest Wolves, who with the loss were eliminated from playoff contention.

Into Division 2, and the Urshult Gladiators strolled into the Semis with a win over the Galrauch Raiders - the Primates had the audacity to lead the Gladiators after Q1, but a Q2 onslaught won the game for Urshult. This means the Raiders will have a winner take all game against Morgantown Mad Dogs in G3, who summarily despatched the Cheshire Cats in G2, to join Urshult in the semis.

Good luck to all teams for G3 - and hopefully IECC #2 will be starting soon (Wednesday), with #3 starting as soon as #1 is over again on a Sunday.
