There are 2 items but they are both related to def tactics so I'm putting them both on this thread.

1. Will we at some point down the line have a goal line defense? That would be helpful for when the offense has the ball on say the 5 yard line or less.

2. Will we at some point down the line have a blitzing feature? It could be you can designate one player to blitz in certain situations, a sell out blitz, or even a computer selected player blitzes and you just check off a box to blitz. For defensive strategy sake it would be helpful to blitz in say a 4 wr shotgun formation in a specific down. It would mean more opportunities for offense and defense.

Here we go

Formations:
Whenever you feel to suggest a new formation, please put it like this into the forum:

formation name: iformation
formation type: offense
lineup: otl|otr|ogl|ogr|oc|wrl|wrr|tel|qb|hbc|fbc

I will ignore suggestions of really extreme formations, one sided formations. To keep it fair on the field.

Blitzing:

Already on the todo, and already in the engine and the playbook, but hidden for the moment. we had it some months ago, but I had to disable it due some odd things.

It will come back, for sure.

So we have to change it a bit on the TE position. Any ideas?

2 te's max on the line. 5 Oline, 2 TE, 1 FB, 1 QB, and 2 WR. The purpose of the goal line package on offense is to make it strong for a short rush but the wr give a little flex to throw.

Goalline offense normally is a Big package with double TE like the BIG-I and then a 3rd TE/H-Back outside one of the TEs.

Problem with redzoneaction is probably, that it's not meant to have 3 TE, so maybe change that TE/H-Back to a second FB? Possible?

Or define a H-Back-Position ...

Goalline defense is a very wide field.
Teams playing with their regular defense just with different alignments and exchanging normally 1-2 LB with D-Liner if more wight is needed.

So every suggested formation is right and wrong, because there are several shades of defenses.
This goes up to 6 D-Liner and exchanging corners to SSs or even LB.
