Good luck everyone !

We start a very difficult series of games against Prairie Dogs, where we wil play very strong opponents in league, no surprise, and in SuperCup, being in one of the strongest division I've ever played. I hope we will not lose everything in the weeks to come

Back to RZA: Never judge any outcome just on snaps of a single game. Far to few records and random influence is on every play. Over the course of the season, your 45 skill players will fare better than 35 skill players. But skills are just one part of the equation.

You see the same guys battle for the championship every season, so over the course of the season, luck evens out, but you still can lose to a team not making glaring mistakes on any given Sunday

ANY given Sunday becomes EVERY given Sunday 😉

10 carries, 56 yards, 5.6 yards per carry
11 cathes, 109 yards, 9.9 yards per catch

Looking forward for a lot of negative ratings of this post that is just pointing some great individual statistics 😄

Some surprising results today, none bigger for us than our own victory. Our Defense, that was mostly awol over the course of the last games, mind you, finally showed up and forced 5 (!!!) turnovers, partly in very favorable spots, that brought 20 points. We missed that for a very long time now, and it's refreshing that our squad still has it in it to make plays like this.

It's only fitting, though, that it were the best players from our squad that made the plays. And it was tangible that every time our first string players were off the field for a play or two the quality of our game dropped significantly.

BUT: somehow the situation in the NC West became very interesting again for us, as now both the Ukies and the Bobbers are only 1 win better than we and the Gilets Jaunés are. This may become interesting

Congrats to the Paris Guardians, who really showed up today

It would be cool if there was a statistics component to salary demands. So if you piled up a ton of yards, you'd have to pay the guy more.

Like an "incentives" thing? I would find that fascinating

But I am already paying my guys a lot.

They have 45-50 skills to make pass/carry/catch yards or to stop opponent offense.
Even the guy who comes for couple of snaps (if he must come to play) has at least 40 at couple of skills.

So for me I can only pay them less for not making big stats number.

Or your proposition is for guys with skills around 30 that are making stats like they are 50+ all star players?

Off to a great start. My offense couldn't do anything right today

I'm in the same boat where a lot of guys should be monsters and im paying for them correspondingly. But the results are underwhelming.

Doesn't help that playbook has been a mystery too. I had a rule for the last game to expect rush on every 1st down, and in the 2nd half it picked passing formation 100% of the time. Not the first time it's happened to me.

It gets very frustrating at times for sure.

If your opp is passing on this playbook rule, this is expected to change from the preset to the "learned" expectation during the game.

This week is a tough one for the HAMBURG SEA LIONS, as we'll be playing two opponents that we've never beaten before in meaningful games:

Today we welcome the Dumbarajko Elephants to our home. We've met them twice now since we came to the Elite. The first encounter in S53 was close. We were leading 26:21 with four minutes to go and then fell victim to masterful Shotgun-Play which ended with a TD in the last minute of regulation. In the second one in week 2 of last season we weren't able to score in the first half at all, thus losing 13:25 at home. So there's no reason to go into this all too confident.

After that we'll be visiting the Space Kraken, and since we lost both games when we visited them in S53 and S55 we'd be hard-pressed to expect anything else than a crushing loss in this game, too.

Our division opponents have some tough competition to face today, too, so maybe we still have a chance in the second half of the season. It won't get any easier, though, so we'll have to bite and scratch until the very end...

Good luck to everyone today
