Experience

Experience is what lets your player play up to his fullest potential. Players are "born" with half a star of experience. Players can gain experience in regular matches and friendly matches on Friday, based on the number of plays in that match. Friendlies accrue much less experience than competitive matches do. Experience affects the game play by creating a penalty on playing skills like catching or passing for each level below maximum - fitness skills are not affected by experience. Each 10% of experience is indicated by half a star. The highest level of experience achievable is 5* which equates to 100%.

There is a special experience calculation in place if your player is Kicker or Punter. Since these players don't have as many plays per game as other players usually have, Kicker and Punter are eligible to receive more experience per play. But there are a few conditions in place to allow the player to take advantage of this..."boost". Your player in question has to be Kicker or Punter based on his natural position, and the player has to play on the field as Kicker or Punter. On top he receives the boost only if he has less than X plays as Kicker or Punter, and if he has not too many ("Y") plays within Offense or Defense. X and Y are meant to be secrets, just to avoid possible exploits of this boost.

From Season 25 on, Experience will affect the players salary.
