Power Ranking - Dragons 1 - Season 45 - Week 7
Headlines: - The King is dead: Rio Football Team drops from #1 to #4 after their loss to Mülheim Steelers (#12). - God save the new King: The Pinella Pikes. - Pikes (#1), Ergocity (#2) and Cargese Dolphins (#3) are the only unbeaten. - The last ten teams keep their positions from last week. - Biggest rise: Paladins (5 spots from #20 to #15). - Biggest drop: Wuppertaler Greyhounds (7 spot from #15 to #22). Hi
Im back in Dragons 1 after 2 Seasons and your Ranking is very good. My last Team was only 2 years old and was number 2 in Dragons 2. i make a big mistake and i buy many expensive players after 3 Seasons a had no more money. Now i hope i do it better and i hope that i stay in this League longer. Jens |

Boy o'boy, how many people went with this approach....you have to be insanely lucky and have some kind of magical foresight to even have a shot at this. You'll always have painfully lacking positions and you'll also overpay eventually as well. If you want some advice about this, I'd definitely ask flimss and Alexx about it, since they are the ones that are doing this in Dragons the best, with over 30 seasons of experience and barely buying anyone from TM. The youth guys I find for example are usually mid-to-shit tier ones, for some reason, but I always plan and design my YA 'classes', adjust the senior roster with keeping in mind what I'll have the next season. Draft classes are also getting progressively worse for seasons now, this current season being the absolute worst I've ever seen so far. It sounds great, having legacy guys that only played for you, for over a decade, over 400 games, etc. but the reality is that you could've likely sell the guy and get similar production in most cases for a fracture of the money you paid for keeping him around. |

Well... I'm 3-4 for a reason!
You can build decent players from YA, no problem. But only for a limited number of positions. Guys with 48-50 speed and 40+ INT come along quite frequently. They can become nice CB's/SF's. Lower INT but still high speed? WR! But for the more complicated positions (LB, DL, QB for example), YA will not do the trick (unless you're really lucky). Draft used to be a way to compensate, but as Choad said, the quality of draft players seems to be declining. For me, I just don't have the time to do much more then I am doing now, so I just choose to ignore the TM and be mediocre year after year  |

My schedule has been the easiest so far. My opp have combined for a 13-46 (22%) record. And this also reflects on my team offensive and defensive rankings. Quite complicated to model it but I feel like my team does not deserve the #3 right now. Waiting for my big games to come (on a streak after my bye week).

Apologies for the little interaction, we've been dealing with various bouts of illness (not corona) in our family so it's been a tiring 30 days or so 
Since I started my promoted QB I've been unbeaten  Entering the top 10 seems like overvalueing of my team but we will see. I am confident in the ability of my team and I do see opportunity for progress as I continue to hone my new PB |
