Hey. Looking for some advice.
This is a table of my YA players at the moment. Obviously there's a lot of information in there, but what's the MOST important things to be looking at?

I get that Teamwork seems to be the key to better training, right?
Does Intelligence have any effect on Training?

Additionally, should I be taking things like Rating / Experience / Talent into account when deciding who to keep/fire?

Of all those players, who's worth keeping and who should I be sending packing?
thanks

In my singular opinion I would say I focus on physical caps in developing them. Intelligence depends on the position. Teamwork is the first filter when selecting from the youth pull.

So first....if the guy has bad teamwork on the youth pull I cut him immediately. Less than 30 for sure.

Second, I train physicals either speed or strength till I get to a yellow cap. Then switch until the other is yellow. This is if I plan for the player to be say a DL, LB, SF, RB, FB, or TE.

If both of those are going to red cap under 47 I sell him. If they are going to cap under 45 I cut him.

If it is for an o line then strength is all I focus on for physicals. If he is under 45 strength cut or sell depending on other stats.

Selling should be based on if you think people will buy him. If I wouldn't buy him without looking at caps then I cut him.

This is of course just my own thoughts. Others probably have different approaches.

There are only 2 I would keep out of the lot you showed. Mickey and Ashley. The others with low physical caps are....not going to sell on the market in my opinion.

Rating at this point is meaningless. As for Talent, as long as a player has at least 2*, there is some potential, depending on the position (you don't want a 2* QB, obviously, but I have a 2* OL in Elite, and that player is doing fine). I only take 16 and 17 year olds, so by promotion day, the EXP is always at a 3* minimum by then, and often times 3.5-4*.

When selecting a youth pull, I look at three things: age, teamwork and scouting report. To simplify my thought process for you, I s e l e c t the youngest player available with a scouting report of either really strong or superfast, as these are your best bets to get a 50 strength or speed. Then I use highest teamwork and the agility and intelligence scouting reports as a tie breaker with more reliance on teamwork since that is the only number we can trust our scouts to be exact on.

I train up the physicals to find the caps, and typically cut/sell anyone who has less than 49 speed or less than 48 strength. Those aren't bad physicals, but they are taking the spot for a player with potentially better physicals. I typically promote 2-3 players each season.

Not sure it fits best here, or in some other thread, so in case there is a better place to ask my question I'd be grateful if you can point me in the right direction.

I've been playing RZA for 10 days, having used Youth Pull 3 times. Each time all players on the list to pick from had an advice (e.g highly talented, fast, intelligent enough to play ball, etc).
In the meantime I've upgraded the Academy. Today I click in the Youth Pull, and all players have a "Projection: No advice given by your coaches" note.

Considering probabilities, I find it possible but very unlikely that players are assigned this type of advice by random.

I tend to believe, that the first 3 youth pulls are treated as a welcome gift from the game, after which EITHER I will never see any advice again, OR it might happen but it'd be a rare event, OR it'll be again common but only after upgrading to Premium Academy.
But I'm not excluding the chance that there is something I did / I didn't do, the result of which is no advice.

Any comments? Thanks in advance.

From the Youth Pull item of the Manual:

"Based on the level of your coaches, your manager-rank and the level of your Youth Academy you will receive a Coaches remark for each of the Youth pulls. This happens, if the following condition is true: your manager-rank is below Top Manager OR your Youth academy is at level Premium!"
