A great summary of each division's situation. There's certainly some important games coming up, starting this Saturday

Yes, and the exciting ones are these: Morgantown Mad Dogs @ 2nd Chronicles 7:14 The Mad Dogs need to win this one to keep the advantage in the AC East. If the Chronicles win they may profit from the weaker schedule in the remaining two games. If they both end up with the same record the Mad Dogs will advance because of a WAY better PD. If the Chronicles lose they have only theoretical chances to get to the playoffs. Coyotes @ Alprausch Alpakas The Alpakas need the win to keep up with the Iron Tigers, who play a bot this weekend, and to keep the pressure on the Silverbacks and maybe go into the Division Duel next Tuesday with an equal record. If they lose it may have been their last chance for the Playoffs. The Coyotes on the other side need the win to keep Seed #6 and hold the distance to the Bulls, maybe even get the same record as VenoM (who play the Ducks). Should they lose they will keep Seed #6, but only for PD. |

Second to last game-day today, and these are the games where playoff-seeding will be determined:
Alprausch Alpakas @ London Silverbacks The loss against the Coyotes still hurts the Alpakas, but they are not entirely out of it. They need to win the last two games of this season to have a chance for Seed #6 in the AC, so losing against their Division-opponent is not an option. They will need help, though, to jump the Berlin Iron Tigers who are 2 games in front of them. But if the Alpakas win against the Silverbacks today and the Galaxy on Saturday while the Iron Tigers lose against the Mad Dogs and Melittlemen, we might see them in the tournament. Berlin Iron Tigers @ Morgantown Mad Dogs Both teams need a win in this one to advance to the playoffs. The Iron Tigers would, if they win, secure Seed #6. The Mad Dogs would with a win secure a homefield playoff game for the 3rd time in a row. Losing first place is only theoretical, though, because even if the Chronicles would tie with them after Saturday, the PD is very much in favor of the Mad Dogs. If the Iron Tigers lose, they still have Seed #6, but with a visit from the Divison-opponent Melittlemen on Saturday they might lose their seeding on the last day, if the Alpakas from the North win out. Devon Dog Soldiers @ Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin Both teams are already qualified for the playoffs, this one will just be fun to watch if the Dog Soldiers are able to hand Melittlemen their first loss of the season HAMBURG SEA LIONS @ Barossa Bulldogs In this game both teams fight for first place in their Division. The SEA LIONS have the second place in the NC West behind the Green Mark Packers and can, with a win, force a Division-deciding game on Saturday. Whoever comes out on top of the West will have the bye-week during Wildcard Round of the Playoffs and homefield advantage in the Divisional Round. The Bulldogs fight for the NC East with the Oxford Bulls, having, too, the same record as their Division-Opponent. Winning this one would secure Seed #4 for the Bulldogs in their first season in the Admirals. Oxford Bulls @ Bracciano Lakers The Bulls have to win this one against the allmighty Lakers to still have a chance for the playoffs. And the Bulldogs would most likely have to lose against the SEA LIONS. Both teams competing in the NC East play bot-teams on saturday, and the Bulls have a much worse PD than the men from Barossa, so they will only be able to advance to the playoffs through a better record. But will they be able to have the Lakers lose their first game this season? Good luck to everyone today Last edited on 2023-05-02 13:04:00 by Chrill |

Thank you for the report Chrill ... I like these reports very much.
The season is more funny when there is press release and technical analysis like these. Keep up with the good work. Last edited on 2023-05-02 10:52:00 by Yashin |

I had to MotY Saturday's game, and it was just enough to win and claim the division. As Chrill said, today's game still means something to me for seeding, and certainly matters for Berlin, should be a good matchup.

Devon Dog Soldiers @ Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin
Both teams are already qualified for the playoffs, this one will just be fun to watch if the Dog Soldiers are able to hand Melittlemen their first loss of the season This is the stage of the season where my team begins it's typical collapse, just in time to play the worst football in the playoffs |

And yes, I know about playoff failures too. I didn't get to watch it live, but I lost 18-17 against Berlin. The safety was obviously big, but throwing an interception on Berlin's 18 yard line with 2 minutes left led to a last minute winning FG for the Tigers. Congrats to the Tigers on an entertaining win. This was my 3rd loss this season that was a 6 point difference or less. And I seemed to be in my other 2 losses until the 4th quarter, so reason to be optimistic for the future. In other news, I see the Packers and Sea Lions will need to go face to face to settle the NC West. |

That was a close one, and I was pretty sure you'd win it when you were up 21 points... ombi78 wrote:

Congrats indeed, they secured Seed #6 with this win ombi78 wrote:

And not only will we have the chance to win the West, but climb all the way to Seed #1 and enjoy the bye-week in the Wildcard Round It is pretty tough, though, to see that we have to always bring the A-Game if we want to win the Division. And it's not getting easier, even if the Packers should win the Conference... because the West will then welcome the next former ELITE-Member who relegates down... which will either be Amma's Angels or the Free Agent Mascots |

Since I'll be at a wedding tomorrow (and will most likely miss the game to decide my Division ), here's the final overview and the games to watch for in Week 17 of the Regular Season 51 in the Admirals:
The Playoffs in the AC are already set: Seed #1 – Bracciano Lakers Seed #2 – Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin Seed #3 – London Silverbacks Seed #4 – Morgantown Mad Dogs Seed #5 – Nanaimo Bluebacks Seed #6 – Berlin Iron Tigers The Playoffs in the NC are a bit more exciting, although the participants of the Playoffs are technically set already, too. The South has found their winner in the Devon Dog Solders. They will most likely be the #2 Seed, too. The newest member of the league, the Barossa Bulldogs, will most likely be the Winner of the NC East and Seed #4. While the Oxford Bulls have the same record, both teams in the East will play bots tomorrow, and PD is heavily in favor of the Bulldogs. The other two Divisions will be decided in the following matchups: Green Mark Packers @ HAMBURG SEA LIONS This one decides not only the NC West, but the #1 Seed in the whole conference. Both teams enter this game with a record of 14–1, the Green Mark Packers leading only because of PD. But they lost the first game this season at home against the SEA LIONS in week 4. They will be eager to get the revenge at HAMMER SPORTS PARK... a venue where they were not able to win in former match-ups, though. VenoM @ Coyotes This one decides the NC North. VenoM is in prime position and has the #3 Seed. The Coyotes have #6 already locked up. Should the Coyotes win VERY HIGH, they may be able to climb to #3 and push VenoM to #2, but that should be a shut-out-win with a lot of points. Fun to see will, too, be how the upstart teams in the league will fare to close out the season, like the Lusaka Antilopes, the Neptunes, the Daegu Raiders, Dunavcse Galaxy and the Ubernoobers. Good luck to everyone |

We're still recovering from the ecstasy that was yesterday evening, although we may have been a bit lucky that the opponent did not view it as MOTY
So in our third season in Admirals I we were able to win not only our Division, but take the first place in the whole conference before entering the Playoffs as well, as we lead the following seeding of the NC in Season 51: Seed #1 – HAMBURG SEA LIONS Seed #2 – Devon Dog Soldiers Seed #3 – VenoM Seed #4 – Barossa Bulldogs Seed #5 – Green Mark Packers Seed #6 – Coyotes ... and we will not exit the Playoffs in the Wildcard Round this season |
