So far not, since it was not started yet. That is right, but it's only a matter of figuring out the groups now And since the assistant gave me the possible starting dates and I looked up which one was the most fitting I already announced the date |

And we’re on. It took a while to determine the groups, but it seems we have found a good mix of different species to take on each other.
We will take a look at each group in the coming days, but for now we are happy to deliver a first glimpse of where the tournaments playoff round will be played… or at least it is assumed it will be played there. Someone who obviously laughes danger in the face went and searched for the famous ark-stadium that was built to honor the tough times when the animals were put on this wooden barge to survive the great flood. This fearless adventurer even was able to take a snapshot of the building, but it was obviously taken in a hurry while escaping the tight security system that has been established around the site to prevent humans to join the party. Sadly this picture was sent to us without any further comments, and no one has heard from the person since. Let’s hope he is well Source: https://tillfelix.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/rza_animalkingdomii_stadium_01_750px-1.jpg Last edited on 2024-11-08 20:36:08 by Chrill |

Two weeks from now the new iteration of the Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup will start, and today we'll start to take a look at the first of the four groups. And to keep you in suspense for a while we will start with
Group 4 BobBoy Magpies Leverkusen Leopards Manta Rays HAMBURG SEA LIONS With the exception of the SEA LIONS every team in Group 4 is new to this Cup. Beyond that it's also the group with the newest team in RZA of this tournament, the Manta Rays (since S57), as well as two of the most seasoned teams in all of RZA, the BobBoy Magpies (since S11) and the Leverkusen Leopards (since S00). Both teams mentioned last already have an impressive list of Friendly Cups won and have been members of the highest of leagues in RZA, the Elite, for at least 17 seasons, with the Magpies being consecutively elite for almost as long as the SEA LIONS have been a Franchise at this point. The SEA LIONS may be the most versatile team to battle the opponents on land as well as under water. Of course, because of being the only air-born team in the group, a flock of angry Magpies will have the advantage over almost every other team due to their opportunities to use 3-dimensional attack. And if the Manta Rays are able to get the opponents down to their "turf" long enough all of them will be beaten easily. But in the end it may come down to experience, and in that regard no one is better equipped than the Leopards. It will be some interesting games. Last edited on 2024-11-10 21:17:41 by Chrill |

We continue our preview to Animal Kingdom II with a look at
Group 3 Deimon Devil Bats Morgantown Mad Dogs Quokkas on steroids Sunrise City Prairie Dogs The team to beat in Group 3 is the runner up from the last iteration of the Animal Kingdom, the mighty Sunrise City Prairie Dogs. They are out for vengeance as they lost the final game against the Sydney Sea Eagles by only two points, which shows that their small appearance is deceptive and that they are a fierce bunch of rodents. They will go against a team of Mad Dogs from Morgantown who made a living out of founding the same franchise over and over again. They make their first impression in this tournament, as do the Quokkas on steriods, a friendly looking Shaka (yes, that’s what a group of Quokkas is called) sent into the mix by the Creator himself. The fourth team in this group and returning to the Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup are the Deimon Devil Bats from Japan, who had a rough time in the first outing against Elephants, Falcons and Pikes. It’ll be interesting to see how this group will play out. 3 of 4 teams meet each other on the ground, and there will be a lot of squeaking and barking going on. The Bats may have a disadvantage in size, but maybe can make this up with some crazy formations and deceptions when they attack as a cloud. Their biggest advantage may be if they play at night… but they’d have to look out for these pumped Quokkas. They are nocturnal creatures, too |

Only 7 Days to go until the tournament is going to start. Let's have a look at
Group 2 Air Force Falcons Badalona Cheetahs Dumbarajko Elephants Tigers Group 2 has two teams returning to the Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup, the Air Force Falcons, who currently secure the Atlantic on an aircraft carrier fleet as part of a special force training, and the infamous Dumbarajko Elephants from Serbia. Both teams advanced to the playoff round last time, only to fail in the round of the final 8. They are accompanied by two big cat teams: the Badalona Cheetas from North Africa and the Tigers from North America. The Elephants strike fear in their opponents through sheer size and strength, but have shown that they could get got by aerial opposition. The Falcons are flying high this season in the league and attack ferociously, which left a lot of opponents quite shook in the aftermath. The Cheetas seem to struggle to find the right footing, but once they access their speed again it’ll get really interesting. Very little is known about the Tigers. They formed quite recently and everyone is already watching closely what these big cats are able to accomplish. Personally speaking: After seeing a video of a Tiger quite easily jump on the back of an Elephant I can’t count out anything with these mean beasts. |

We are as surprised as we are happy to have received another picture from apparently the same region where the first one was taken. This time it had a brief message attached, sayin only "finally found an entrance".
Source: https://tillfelix.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/rza_animalkingdomii_stadium_02_750px.jpg It obviously shows that the picture taking stranger is well and still working on his mission to show us more about the Friendly Cup. It is quite early for that, but maybe now is the time to go in there, since it's still 3 weeks away that games will be played in that stadium... so maybe their security is still not totally ruthless to avoid human participation. |

Past iterations in memory of the games played on that famous ark have always been joyous affairs, as there was always made concerted effort to keep the animals among themselves. It has been an understanding that any interference by humans would not be made possible under any circumstances, to preserve the basic idea of the tournament being played by the Animal Kingdom. And as humans usually do not count themselves as being animals, instead more times than not mean serious harm to them, their participation was prevented.
But there were never rules written about this. So, although the newest tournament hasn't even started yet, the Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup has its first major scandal - and the team that caused it is in Group 1 Alaskan Fur Trappers Hamburg Baltic Dogs Sydney Sea Eagles Willoughby Wookies No one really knows how it could have happened, but it is believed that through imaginative camouflage a team of Alaskan Fur Trappers tricked the registration staff into thinking that they were some kinds of upright walking wolves (?) and thus were accepted to participate. It is a head scratcher, but it was too late when it was discovered that now a human team joined the fun. Not any human team, but exactly those humans that hunt and kill animals. The outcry was tremendous, and the organization committee did the only thing possible to calm the masses: put them into the same group as the current Animal Kingdom-champion Sydney Sea Eagles. As it is the duty of a king, the Sea Eagles will make sure that the Fur Trappers do not get far. Their tournament winning campaign was flawless last time and they surely will fight ferociously to prevent the disturbers from getting to the playing ground hidden in the jungle. To their aid comes a pack of Baltic Dogs from northern Central Europe, who hopefully won’t fall prey to the Trappers… and we all have fingers, paws and wings crossed that they won’t be trained as hunting dogs at the end of the day either. As a last line of defense the organization committee was able to activate a team of Wookies that have been stationed on Earth since S52 and made themselves available for instances such as this, to fight for Animal justice and keep humans to boundaries that they are oh so eager to break every time they see a chance for enrichment. So it will be curious to see how this group plays out. It is a shame that these humans get so much attention, but hopes are high that they will be sent home early in the tournament. The thought about them wreaking havoc in the great ark-shaped stadium later on is unsettling for many teams, and no one truly wants to have this turning-point in the history of the Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup getting even bigger than it already is. |

Let's be fair, animals aren't exactly that hard to trick are they ?
So the Wookies from Willoughby Ontario are coming north to Anchorage. It's warmed up quite a bit in recent days so game time temps will be 19 F (-7c) & cloudy with light winds. Sunrises @ 9:30 & game time is 10am local. As usual the Fur Trappers will not have heaters on the sidelines (learned from Bud Grant) & the Woolies don't need them with all that hair. The temps will be too warm for the fans to be decked out in their furs. We've had a run in with the Wookies before in a different Cup & they were a wily bunch. "Is that a %!@*&$# Bigfoot ?" but they managed to slip away. The Fur Trappers look forward to adding a Wookie rug this time around. 4 Kings management is currently trying to find Bigfoot recipes or other uses like bait ! Best of luck to all |
