Ever since we joined the Elite in S53 we heard about the „Curse of the Dragon“, and it’s about no team from the NC West ever winning the Elite League Bowl… which is well documented here.
After another strange encounter with a team from the AC conference I was thinking about this and wondered if there could be reason behind this madness. And then recently the great ptdoc2017 uttered an advice to KMN Mandos manager HH_KMN after the Mandos lost the bowl game of S58, despite having one of the greatest seasons in Elite history, that the NC East might be nearly as cursed as the NC West, which again brought my attention to this matter. So I did some digging. I do not have any idea how this game really works, nor am I particularly fond of programming or even feel at home in the world of 1s and 0s. But whenever there are strange things happening like these I try to find answers, because everything happens for a reason. So over the course of S59 I’ll look way back into the Elite as early as S14, when the first season of Elite level RZA-Football was played. I’ll look for anything curious and see what I find. Maybe it’s nothing and Dragon-teams just weren’t good enough to win the Elite Bowl. But maybe there is something to discover here. We’ll see I’ll keep you updated |

Neither do I, but starting to get what is very important and what is almost not at all important. Reason? There are a lot of reasons and you have to take it, a little bit of random factor (or maybe more than a little bit) is one of them. Without random all of this would be simple math and that is not for sure. But still it is a good/great game and the best american football manager online |

It's obviously the fact that Dragons and Monarchs are not allowed to play eachother as regular season foes. We test our mettle against the Devils and Galaxy, then when Dragons shows up in the playoffs they haven't been tested the same way!

for the record, I wasn't being 100% serious I wouldn't mind if you were, as the East is not that much better off than the West. Yes, they do have won two bowl games, but given the fact that almost twice as many Sea Devils-teams than Dragons-teams went to the playoffs the notion is not that far off. Rufio13 wrote:

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this math, as the Dragons have to play the same divisions (but always the other one of course), so they should be equally as tested But it is curious that in 45 seasons the West and the North never played each other in the regular season. |
