Oh yes... there are some great games this week: Baltic Dogs visiting me or mystics@Ravens, but the Weasel Traders in Vancouver is defnitly the match of the week. This region knows no bigger rivalry. As long as Canada does not declare a NATO alliance, I will remain neutral in this game. If the Corsairs lose, I will not complain. That could be important in the fight for playoff spots 5 and 6. Nobody knows if that will be important to me at some point.

I expected a loss today since i was the lucky one yesterday in the SuperCup game.
But, damn this was a very awful game to watch. First 3 quarter possesions: 9 1st: 3 & out 2nd: INT (returned for a TD) 3rd: INT 4th: turnover on downs on opp 32 5th: fumble on the opponent 1 yard line 6th: FG 7th : INT 8th: 3 & out 9th: 3 & out So Johnny, lady luck was with you big time in this one. Enjoy the W. I'm eager to see what happens next time we will meet.  |

Today's Match was coming down to the line with a single touchdown between us and the Silvers...
Not until a 19-play, 9 minute drive! A playbook hole had me going for it on any fourth down. We had 2 huge close calls where our homegown RB; Vemund Torsvik who was pulled into our academy at 16 years who pulled out all the stops: 8:10 4 and 5 to go on own 40, Horst Wolf (OC) snaps the ball to Olav Haraldsen (QB), who hands off to Vemund Torsvik (HB/C), he starts running over the center, and gets tackled by Mathieu Van den Bijl (SS/L), forward progress: 6 yards, New first down (Big I formation vs. 3-4-4) 3:50 4 and 7 to go on opp 18, Horst Wolf (OC) snaps the ball to Olav Haraldsen (QB), Vemund Torsvik (HB/C) gets the ball, this seems to be a run over the left guard, Vemund Torsvik (HB/C) tackled by Chad Thurman (MLB), forward progress: 8 yards, New first down (Big I formation vs. 5-2) The game changer was the high-risk Minnesota passing game, with two formidable QBs and a cast of many who are still in development or otherwise struggle. This amounted in 6 interceptions; all of which definitely determined the game. Here was another key phase of the game with back-to-back turnovers busting the momentum of both teams. 13:55 1 and 10 to go on own 33, Horst Wolf (OC) snaps the ball to Olav Haraldsen (QB), Vemund Torsvik (HB/C) gets the ball, he starts running over the left tackle, Vemund Torsvik (HB/C) fumbles, recovered by Lance Gentile (DE/R) (Big I formation vs. 3-4-4) more 13:50 There is no return by Lance Gentile (DE/R) (3-4-4 vs. Big I formation) more 13:48 1 and 10 to go on opp 35, Filipe Amaechi (OC) snaps the ball to Richard Bruton (QB), Richard Bruton (QB) selected Pablo Dumas (WR/R) as target, he passes inner right for 25 yards to him, intercepted by Elias Bjørge (MLB) on the opp 10 (Shotgun 4 WR vs. Dime 4DL MLB 4CB 2SF) more 13:46 Elias Bjørge (MLB) returns the ball, Joe Hynes (WR/R) is not able to make the tackle, Pablo Dumas (WR/R) missed the tackle, missed tackle by Richard Bruton (QB), Stephen Keeler (WR/L) is tackling him, this was a 44 yards interception return (Dime 4DL MLB 4CB 2SF vs. Shotgun 4 WR) All in all a great match!
