The big bulk of Week 1 games is over, and the HAMBURG SEA LIONS are down almost 66 points against the Minnesota Silver Foxes. Granted, we still have 2 Players to participate in the game today (LV TE Bowers and DAL K Aubrey), but unless one of them (or both) has an awesome outing we probably won’t catch up on the Foxes. And that they may come up short even to their standard is not that impossible this week, as many of our players did not live up to their potential. It dit not help to put the wrong players on the bench, of course, but both starting RBs and our WR2 only gathered points in single digits, making a W this week very unlikely. We’ll see, maybe TE Bowers explodes again in the 4th quarter, or K Aubrey kicks the ball like there’s no tomorrow. The fight for the playoffs is real, and it’s still a lot of work to get in ![]() Always have the closest games with the Sea Lions when it comes to Fantasy. Great game, Chrill. |

The HAMBURG SEA LIONS enter Fantasy today, but this week will probably be a lost one. I made a rookie mistake by having too many players/units of one (pretty good) team on the roster… all of which are having their bye week today. Damn. Of course there’s no way to find good substitutes, so we’re limited to crossing fingers and hoping that more than one small miracle occurs.
Good luck to everyone today ![]() |

Very surprisingly the HAMBURG SEA LIONS lead against the Guardians by 25 points, but this will probably not hold up until tomorrow, as they still have their QB to play tonight. As almost always I chose the wrong players to put on the bench, as QB Baker Mayfield, TE Brock Bowers, RB Bam Knight and WR Alex Pierce collected 130 points, while those who „played“ only provided for 82.75 points… a difference that, together with the 25 point cushion that we have now, would probably have been enough to win this week. Meh 😒

Final week of the season and 99% we know the 6 teams that will go into the playoffs. Let's break it down. 1. The Guardians with (11-3) can't lose the 1st place. 2. Derbent Convicts (9-5) can lose the 2nd place if they lose to the Ravens next week. 3. Pizti Beltzak (8-6) with a win against the Guardians and a Derbent Convicts loss, move to 2nd place 4. Minnesota Silvers (8-6) will 100% win against the Girona Dragons and they can move to 3rd with a Pizti Beltzak loss. The#2 is not possible due to that huge PD difference. 5. Hamburg Sea Lions (7-7) will play against SP NightStorms (6-8) but even with a loss the PD is to high to not qualify, but they can lose the #5 spot. With a win most likely keep their #5 also depending on PD. 6. Constanta Ravens (7-7) will play against Derbent Convicts. With a loss they can't lose the #6 seed because of PD difference. With a win they can finish #5. |

The regular season in our first NFL Fantasy season is over, and despite some mindblowing blunders in these past few weeks the HAMBURG SEA LIONS are in the playoffs. WOOHOO
As I see this as bonus, since I did not really think we’d be able to do it, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the things I learned: Obviously (and probably to none of you a surprise) ‚winning' the Draft in no way is condusive to playing a good season. After gettin’ an A, a projected 13–2 record and projected finish at #2, things pretty fast fell apart early in the season when main TE Brock Bowers could not play for multiple games… until, I think, week 8 or so?…, TE2 Coulston Loveland wasn’t a factor for the first 10 weeks or so, and RB2 Omarion Hampton was injured in week 6 or 7. Also I never really got real good and regular production out of those WRs. But by the time I had to make a change all those contributors were of course taken by other teams or injured, as more experienced managers had a way better hand to take players that were sleepers. Plus I had made the mistake to put too many eggs in one basket (in my case that of the Broncos), which was ok while they played, but bit me once they had their bye-week. Luckily, though, some picks from early on did pay off. The DEN Defense is among the best in all of Football this season, both QBs I picked (TBs Mayfield and CHIs Williams) are quite equal in points production (although not stellar, which will probably bite me next Sunday), and LAR RB Williams also gets his touches (despite the Rams being a very pass heavy team this season). So overall it was a very pleasant experience up to this point, and I’m already looking forward to the next season. But first we have to prepare for the Silver Foxes, to make it a tough week for them one more time ![]() |
