The Guardians losing to the Falcons on Saturday has me seriously concerned about our chances. They usually beat us nonetheless (like they did in S54 in our last league-meeting), but them coming with a vengeance makes it feel like we'll get our heads knocked off today

Good luck to everyone

You had not to worry, congrats for your victory! We play Prairie Dogs on Saturday, I hope sebre not throwing away our season in the end

Thank you It was a strong defense that made this happen, and I'm honestly amazed by the fact that we did not fa l t e r at the end of the game

Two more wins for a true miracle

The last game day brought again close victories and heart breaking losses for some teams. The battle for playoff seeding and avoiding relegation burns hot in a lot of divisions still, so let’s have a look at each one of them.

AC East

The Prairie Dogs secured the top seed in the division with their 12th win of the season. They are currently #1 in the conference as well and can not drop further than #2, having secured the bye-week in the wildcard round of the postseason. They play the Paris Guardians next, then the TigerCats and close out with a visit at the Falcons. Maybe they stumble somewhere, since all these team are battling hard for survival and playoffs.

One of those is the Paris Guardians (8–5) collect losses a the most inopportune moment, and another one would be crucial, as the Air Force Falcons (7–6) are hot on their heels. Both teams play the Prairie Dogs still and else have favorable schedules, with games against teams that are struggling or already relegated. Means: one slip might be one too much for one of them.

Maybe the game against the already relegated division opponent Jäger (2–11) might become a very engaging one for the Guardians O_O

AC North

In the North the TigerCats (8–5) took another step to defend the division crown by beating the Grail Knights (2–11) and are now still up 1 win on the Mustangs. And they play them next at home, so if they win that one their chances are pretty good to advance as the champ from the North. After that they go to the Prairie Dogs, before having the Grail Knights at home.

The Mustangs (7–6) come off a tough 4-game-losing-streak and have to win at least one of the last three to secure another season in the Elite. Winning the next one against the TigerCats would even have them deep in the mix for playoff seeding.

Still having outside chances to stay has Missouri Misery (4–9), but they can’t lose anymore and have to rely on the Mustangs losing against the TigerCats and the Runners before they can try and beat them at home.

AC South

The Yorkies (11–2) are already locked in to play in the postseason, it’s just a matter of seeding for them now. They have a visit at the Sea Eagles coming up, where they have the chance to secure the first spot in the division, and close out the regular season with another two divisional match-ups against the already surely relegated teams Non Ducor Duco (5–8) and the Suchdol Minors (4–9). Given the slightly tougher schedule for the Prairie Dogs in the East the Yorkies might even get the #1 seed if they win out.

The Sea Eagles (9–4) need one more win to secure a spot in the postseason, being currently 2 games in front of the Mustangs at seed #7. If they win the aforementioned match-up against the Yorkies they are in the postseason for sure and might even rival the latter for the crown in the South… but only if the Yorkies stumble over Non Ducor or the Minors.

AC West

The win for the Magpies (9–4) on Tuesday was HUGE for them as they can only lose the #1 spot in the division theoretically anymore. They have one tough game coming up in week 16 at the Black Dragons and else have to play two teams from the bottom of their respective division… so closing out the season as #1 should not be too big of a task for them.

Behind them the Bracciano Lakers and the little men from Hitchin battle for second place in the division, both at 6-7. They play each other in week 17 and have favorable schedules until then, with the little men maybe having a slightly easier one.

The Bruisers, although already relegated at 2–11, can be crucial as they play all teams in the division over the course of the last 3 games.

NC East

The Mandalorians (10–3) missed a chance to punch their ticket to the postseason on Tuesday. They can still be jumped now by all three teams in the East and have to watch out for the Mountain Hawks (8–5) and the Runners (8–5) in particular, as they still have to play them the second time in the upcoming weeks of the regular season. As do the mystics (9–4), who currently have the #5 seed in the conference.

With all four teams playing each other the non-divisional games in week 16 will have an impact. The Mandos play at the Hooligans, the mystics visit the SEA LIONS, the Mountain Hawks welcome the Kraken and the Runners must go to the Mustangs. So the Mandos are the only team to play a team below .250, which they might benefit from in their quest to keep the top spot in the East.

NC North

The second division to be decided already is the North, with the Kraken (11–2) not being able to be shoved from the #1 spot anymore. Not even a tough remaining schedule with the Black Dragons, at the Stone Mountain Hawks and a closing game at the Irish Giants will change that.

The Black Dragons (7–6) at #2 can maybe sneak into the postseason, but they’d need to win at the Kraken, vs. the Magpies and at the Hooligans… and hope for stumbling conference opponents from the East and the South to make it in.

The Hooligans and the Giants don’t have chances to stay for another season, but can be annoying for the playoff seeding and/or the chance to avoid relegation, as they both still play teams battling for either one of those (Hooligans: @Lakers, vs. Mandos, vs. Dragons; Giants: @Elephants, @Melittlemen, vs. Kraken).

NC South

The Blitz (11–2) has one more game to win to secure the postseason appearance. But that should be an ease for them, as they only play one team above .500 for the remainder of the regular season.

The Elephants at #2 still fight for the #6 seed currently, being stuck behind the Mountain Hawks and the Runners from the East. They have a more favorable schedule than those, though, with only playing teams currently below .500 in the next 3 weeks. So their chances are not that bad to get to 10 wins, which should be enough for a spot in the playoffs. They will definitely stay Elite, if nothing drastic happens.

The Creators team still has outside chances to stay another season, but only if the Elephants begin to lose now. Rio Galaxy can only be an annoyance to the Ukies or the Blitz at this point of the season.

NC West

In the division second in terms of excitement, although not as sophisticated in playing as the NC East, a record of 9–7 will ensure first place and a spot in the playoffs. Closest to this are the SEA LIONS (7–6), but they also have the toughest closing schedule, playing only teams well above .500 (@Blitz, vs. mystics) before a visit at the Bobbers in week 17. Getting two wins will be a challenging task for them.

3 wins to get to 9–7 need the Bobbers and the Ukies, and with both being 6–7 right now they can’t lose another game, if they don’t want to worry about being relegated. Both have favorable schedules, though, with only one really tough game each. The Bobbers have two road games at Jäger and at the Gilets Jaunés (both well below .500) before welcoming the SEA LIONS. The Ukies have two below .500 teams at home (Rio Galaxy and the Gilets Jaunés) and have to visit the Elephants in between.

So the Gilets Jaunés can be tipping the scales if they somehow manage to annoy the Bobbers and the Ukies… and even the Air Force Falcons in the upcoming week 15 game, as the latter still fights for another season in the AC East.

In all likelihood, there's only contests left in 4 of the divisions: coincidentally, both easts and wests.
So here's the spreads for those deciding games. The smallest spread is 7 points, so only upsets need apply for further discussion. (And really, who doesn't love an underdog?)

ACE: Paris is one game up on Air Force, but has a decidedly more difficult challenge this week:
- Air Force Falcons @ Gilets Jaunes - Falcons by 7
- Paris Guardians @ Sunrise City Prarie Dogs - Prarie Dogs by 7

ACW: Magpies are flying high, but tight race between Bracciano and Melittlemen to avoid relegation:
- Hemet Hooligans @ Bracciano Lakers - Lakers by 22
- Burnaby Bruisers @ Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin - the pitchers by 12

NCE: KMN may have the advantage, but nothing's settled yet in this division, and they're all playing divisional matches, so this is potentially a big week here:
- Stone Mountain Hawks 2 @ KMN Mandalorians - Mandalorians by 13
- Social Distance Runners @ mystics - mystics by 11

NCW: These scrappers keep making headlines, so there's something to be said for parity. Walruses are the current leader, but they have a rougher road to travel:
- HAMBURG SEA LIONS @ San Diego Blitz - Blitz by 16
Chelt Nam Bobbers @ Jager - Bobbers by 16
Rio Galaxy @ Brookfield Ukies - Ukies by 9

excellent commentary Chrill and Olband, thank you

as a member of the "Division of Death", to me, it's like this:

Mandos got the division. the question is...can mystics hold off Runners and Hawks? mystics got what would seem like a big victory vs Hawks but that game was in question until the last few minutes, and the next match will be AT Hawks. Buzi is a sneaky good manager and having competed against him for several years, I have found his teams to be quite unpredictable in big games. Never sleep on the Runners. I truly believe Mandos will get the division...outside of that, anything could happen. Whatever happens, I am honored to compete in this division. I've never been a part of a division like this, in any league at any time.

Murderous row to end the season begins today, part one being San Diego Blitz. We played them 3 times since we entered the Elite league in S52, twice at home and once on the road... and we have the record at 2–1. The game we lost was at home, though, and I'd guess, since we have to visit them today, that our record on the road will be even after this one, too

Good luck to everyone

Third loss in a row, against Prairie Dogs. Our poor offense managed to make us lose while the defense made 4 interceptions . But not everything is lost, we have two home games left to make this season a great one. And next week, back to the Prairie Dogs stadium in Champ of Champs Cup

Fortunately for me, my defense bailed Knox out of his very-bad, no-good day . I still think your team makes it as the 6th seed. Probably just need one more win. See you Friday and good luck.

What an awesome game we took part in yesterday: Every possession for either team ended with a score until late in the second quarter. To start the second half we scored our 3rd (!!!) long passing TD, and after that it was a tough defensive battle with the better outcome for us. Would not have bet on it, but that was the first of two victories mandatory to make it to another season in the Elite without relying on others. Only one more...
