I thought I'd take a look, after three seasons, how the teams stack up so far, and made a very back-of-the-envelope simple rating system: It awards the sheer presence in the EL (so having played more seasons in it is worth more than playing less), regular season win %, number of post season games and number of post season wins. Here are the results so far:
 Source: http://i.imgur.com/y1YKZPB.jpg I think the top 6 shake out nicely, and do look like the way my "gut feeling" would rank them too. Those are the six teams who have been consitently dominant throughout all three seasons and have multiple playoff wins on their resumee. There could be a debate about #5, Landru might make the case of one more playoff win, but Luceas regular season dominance is hard to argue against. Some other cases are more debatable: - Leeds and Chelsea (if E-Logic would still be here) coudl argue that they accomplished more with their time in the EL than the Hawks, but the Hawks are still one of only 11 teams to play all 3 seasons in the EL. Chelsea edges them out mostly cause of the playoffwin. - Cardicajackets and Galrauch are so-far one-hit-wonders wedged in a bulk of 3-season-veterans, but their limited time was much more exciting here than what Chester, FAJNY and Maykop did, so that is also an interesting case of short-term-success vs. long-term-persistence. Divisional strength of course factors heavily into this. What are your thoughts? Does someone have a better list of EL succes so far? How would you rank the teams? |

Looks like Vulcans and the Blitz are the only 4 season teams from the same division. Guess that means we've been successfully been able to vanquish all Galaxy challengers thus far!

It'd actually be interesting to see a breakdown per league (Elite Division) but I can't be bothered doing that for every league.
