Just recieved a proper beating from Istanbul Whitings. They showed my team every corner of the playing field....

That's putting it mildly... 70 points scored against you

The Istanbul Whitings seems to have kicked it into another grear lately. Have you coaching staff to tell your players to put this game waaayyy behind them. Burn the film and hope you rebound well.

If this happens again, disregard burning the film... set fire to the 11 starters on defense

To Kevin:

To answer your question, I think it is a variance of all aspects. Playbook is huge for sure, but as we have all found out, everything we do affects the outcome. If you don't run the ball...sure, you can win some games as a few teams don't run the ball ever, but you need to throw the defense off guard. If you don't have a quality OLine, you can stop a few sacks, but once they start getting tired, it isn't as easy. So yes...all things add up. You really can't pinpoint one thing for each and every one of those games I suspect.

#5 True, it’s hard to win games giving up sacks left and right (as well as the middle), never establishing a running game, throwing picks to the opponent, or never forcing them to punt, but that’s not the takeaway here.

#6 What I’m getting at is the adjustment, or lack of adjustments teams made this past game week. And maybe (my one or two) readers of this column could weigh in.

#7 Does this occur more often when…. a) A team has a better-prepared playbook wise to handle deficits? b) One team has better roster depth for later in the game when backups are more involved? c) The coaching staff influences this come-backs d) A poor defensive strategy

Pete likes Tom B rady a lot.
-G.O.A.T- = Greatest Of All Time

On another note, Wild Thangs finally trained for the first time this season! Hopefully we wlill not lose any more players, and I can soon rebuild my facilities...

Yes, somehow Pete has written a code of G.O.A.T. each time the name of B r a d y is written. Not sure why that is, but I noticed it in scouting this past years draft on this particular player.

Office Sticky Post-It Notes After Week 6

WEEk 6

#1 After 6 weeks into the season, the AC South looks to be the most competitive in the AC. They have been for the last few seasons, and this is despite the Istanbul Whitings (5-1) bolting for the AC West and the Norfolk Dumplings (2-3) going to the Elite.

#2 The Kalapana Wild Thangs (4-1) and the Thunder Bolts (4-2) will make this divisional race interesting. Xu Da (3-2) is a team I don’t see winning this division, but they could very well play itself into the final wildcard spot.

#3 That would give the AC South 3 playoff teams… a real possibility.

#4 I still feel the NC South in the most competitive in the Thunder. Not looking at the standings, I feel they would finish in this order. #1 Kokomo Mantis (4-2), #2 Inbhir Narann (3-3) #3 Totoras Patriots (5-1) #4) Vicious Attack Dogs (3-2).

#5 It’s not a stretch to think 3 playoff teams could arise from this division as well. I think the NC will have a 3 playoff division team. If it is not the NC South, then look no further than the NC North.

#6 If it wasn’t for a slow start for one team in this division, then it might make a run at the best division in RZA. But each team here is getting 2 opportunities vs an unexperienced and still building squad, which could mean 2 sure wins and the 120 PD both games bring… and that could give them the edge in a 3 team playoff division.

#7 I think the NC North will finish as such: #1 Boonley Bulldozers (6-0), #2 Amersfoort Alligators ( 4-2), #3 RC Frogs (4-1) #4 Nashville Renegades (0-6).

#8 No… the NC East is not a top-heavy competitive division. The Landru Athletics (3-3) just needs to wake up and everything will be gifted to them in that division. That’s because…..

#9 The Santiago Redskins (0-6) are a complete mess and have been in a financial nightmare for a couple of seasons now. The Valiant Pinoys (2-3) just got released from the “financial prison” and rebuilding as a result. And the Spitting Llamas (2-3) has a gameplan that won’t take them far in the playoff gauntlet should they even make it.

#10 I fell the other divisions not mentioned may be won already by those already leading them. Things could change… but I don’t see it today.

#11 This week has a couple of games I would like to pay attention to: RC Frogs (4-1) @ Boonley Bulldozers (6-0), and the Totoras Patriots (5-1) @ Vicious Attack Dogs (3-2), as the marquee matchups. Then the Rome Centurions (5-0) @ East Coast Crushers (3-3), Fredericksburg Comanches (3-3) @ Wolflings (6-0), will make for good “ Trap Matches” I feel.

Your Opinions Are Greatly Valued.

great write up again Kevin! Only thing I disagree with is my finishing in 1st in our division. It is WAY too tough a division to crown anyone as a favorite. Personally, I think our division will all come down to the final game of the season to determine a winner. All 4 spots could be determined that day and someone will be left out of the playoffs. That would be a great ending to the season, but horrible for 1 or 2 teams.
