Pass

The thrill of a ball spiralling through the air into the waiting hands of your player, Here in RedZoneAction.org we call that a pass play. Pass plays can go to any of three targets, the Tight ends, the Running backs (HB/FB) and of course the Wide Receivers. In addition to pass targets there are several types of passes: screen, short, medium and deep passes, and each of those can go to the left, middle or right side of the field. But be careful, the risk of throwing an interception is higher as deeper the pass attempt is going. Having fast, strong, good catching receivers that know their routes is helpful ;). Defenders will try to go for the Interception as often as possible - as long as they understand how the play evolves and they know, how to keep the receiver away from doing his job. The Quarterback will try to attempt a new first down if you set just "Pass" without giving further instructions on the depth for the throw.

With the current setup pass target preference goes to WRs over TEs, only.

Distances for Pass throwing:
Screen: behind the Los
Short: 0-10 Yards deep
Medium: 10-20 Yards deep
Deep: 20-x Yards deep
