Glossary

The Special team has its chance on Punts, Kick offs, Points after Touchdown and Field goals. The task varies from play to play, but a Special team consists of the Punter (P) or Kicker (K) and Gunners (G) on the kicking / punting team, and Kick returners (KR) on the returning team. For Kickoffs Special Team Blockers (STBL) and Special Team Tacklers (STT) are added. Once the Kick returner catches the ball he will try to return the ball for as many yards as possible, while the Gunner is trying to tackle the Kick returner. On Kickoffs the STBL try to protect the KR from being tackled by G or STT.
