Here we are.
This year (season) changing divisions/ regions has been enable. Since we "only" - or rather thankfully - have only one bot is Dragons 1.1, not much change should be expected. However we can still have some surprises. Cheers and game on comrades |

Well....without Pizti's posts this forum really tanked lol.
There have been so many team changes it is difficult to keep up with and thus difficult to handicap games. I'll do my best for prospective divisional winners. AC East This season we have swapped out Pizti for Seahawks. Both are very good teams. Seahawks have best rated team in the division but has 90% morale which is probably the only way Sfniner won this season vs Seahawks. As it is right now there is only one team that is out of the running for the division, The Convicts. Paladins have 3-0 record followed by Sfniner and Seahawks at 2-1. Both of those losses are to fellow division teams. Paladins beat Sfniner 20-11 in the first game of the season. * I don't know why but Paladins have beaten me 3 games in a row in super close games. In each game I out gained in yards, time of possession, and first downs but some fluky turnover or missed short field goal late in the game has decided it. Sigh. I think all 3 teams have a legit chance to claim the division. If I ranked them it would be 1. Seahawks 2. Paladins 3. Sfniner. The gap between them is minimal. North The north is a 2 team race, the same teams that are in it every season lol. Panthers and Jackalopes. Both are 2-1. Jackalopes are the better rated team but Panthers seem to play great games vs Jackalopes as they have swept the series 2 seasons in a row. Before that they typically split the series. No offense towards the other 2 teams (Patriots are about to go bot) but this division will come down to who wins this series or a pd. Based on recent games the Panthers would have to be favored slightly. South The south is a also a 2 team race. The newly transfer from Thunder Ispo Facto and the Cheetahs are rebuilding teams, which leaves Turigtians and Vipers as the 2 teams in the running. Vipers are 6-2 in the last 8 vs Turigtians. Vipers are a game back right now but their loss was to a good France team. If Vipers continue their 2 game win streak vs Turigtians then this division will be theirs. A long way to go. This is a coin flip division. West This along with the East are the strongest divisions in the AC. There are also 3 teams deep in the running here. History suggests Rio will prevail as they are 9-1 vs France in the last 10 games (although it was last season France got its first win) and they handled Baltic once already doubling them in score. Baltic is 7-0 vs France. Although France is 3-0 and leading the division in pd it will be tough for them to maintain the lead as both Baltic and Rio have higher rated teams combined with the previously mentioned history. I am predicting 1. Rio. 2. Baltic 3. France. NC I will post the NC later today. East North South West |

Let me help you with some content on Dragons forum!
Well, I think I can only talk about my own division because this is my reality and I have already analyzed it prior the start of the season. Let me talk a little bit about each team: 1. Rio Dragons Starting with my own team just because this is a lot easier. The Rio Dragons have already played on Elite for 2 consecutive seasons but it was a long time ago. The poor choice of how to drive the team's finances have been forcing me to cut expenses (a.k.a. cutting players) season after season to get back to the right way. Consequently, my roster for S51 is theoretically weaker as I have sold/cut 9 players from my 1st team. Despite it, I have "redesigned" my team and part of my playbook and kept it competitive in a way I am still dreaming with SC and league playoffs. 2. Baltic Stars Since the promotion to D1 on S45, the Stars have been improving consistently. The biggest proof of it is that they are the reining champs of AC West after an incredible 13-3 run on S50. With high players' wage and average team age this team sounds like not only as a division title contender but as a conference finalist as well. The only problem is the tactical aspect of the Stars, which makes the team quite predictable and easier to be beaten by weaker teams like Rio Dragons (as it happened on S50 playoffs and S51 week 3 games). 3. France 2018** This long term team (est. in S13) has quite a story in RZA). Have already played 3 times on Elite (all on mid 20's season) and dominated the AC South from S38 to S43. After that, deep financial issues harmed its performance, culminating with a couple of seasons in D2. Back to D1 in AC West, NICOLASC have been showing all his talent as a manager by achieving incredible records with rosters far from D1 levels. France has proven on S50 that the team is back to the competition on RZA and now with one of the most expensive teams I think it will be really hard to beat them on S51. It is surely a division title contender with high chances of achieving a top seed. 4. Wickers Well, after St Pauli Packers migration to Sea Devils (probably due the competition on Dragons AC West) the 4th team have changed many times. Not much to say here because whatever the team that will settle on here it will be merely a bot like opponent during all S51 and maybe also S52 and S53. Well, in my opinion France, Baltic and Rio will finish in this order, with Baltic and Rio fighting bravely against each other (and other AC teams) for a playoff berth. sfniner08 wrote:

You know what? It would be awesome if there was one person from each division that posted a short weekly blurb on the state of the division and how the last set of games went. Thanks for sharing!

Great idea. I would suggest at least 2 of us: one for AC, one for NC. But I am not having enough time to analyze more than my own games . And we are both from AC... |

I'm not up for full summarizing...but I can tell you my team is a mirage. I'll take the wins.

NC South :
For the past few seasons, the final regular seasons rankings have been this : -1 Alaskan Fur Traders -2 Cargese Dolphins -3 Miami Dolphins -4 The Blackmanes/Juarez Apache (Bots), now the protesting Gilets Jaunés (my men) Their schedule have them clashing against the tough AC and NC North, with premium teams such as Gardians, The Pinellas Pikes, Mulheim Steelers, Panthers, and the Jackalopes, a.k.a. the top 5 ELO teams of the League , with a combined 179 seasons of experience between them. We can definitely talk about a spicy schedule, making the pursuit of the wild card spots perhaps a tougher one than for other NC Divisions. The order of the oldest three teams should remain the same for this season. Through the first three weeks, the Fur Traders are the highest scoring offense of the league. Their goal is obviously to get another division title and get into the playoffs. Cargese Dolphins ain't giving up either. Their win against the Punch drunk's Jackalopes illustrates the Cargese men seriousness. A wild card spot is in clearly in reach for them, but it won't come easy for sure. Miami Dolphins are looking to lean on S50, which was their comeback to League 1. As such, nobody knows where they will end up. Likewise, Gilets Jaunés will lean on their arrival S50 season. The question will be where the Gilets Jaunés manage to climb. S50 has been rough as the first year of existence. But having been rewarded with a high draft pick and completed a full offseason, the goal is to be a relevant team as soon as this season. Perhaps a wild card spot will be in reach, but first of all they will have to avoid flying too close to the sun. |
