Half the Regular Season is in the books and only one gameday to go with Bye-Weeks for a few teams, so I think we can have a good look at how the league shook out so far.

The HAMBURG SEA LIONS had a WAY more successful first half of the season than I would have expected, and we had a lot of competition that we overmatched. The second half of S52 will be harder, though, with tough match-ups against the Mülheim Seahawks, the turigtians esports club and the second games against the Baltic Stars and Nippon Steel still to come. But at the moment we lead the AC West with two wins in front of the Stars

In the AC East it's a close race between the Mülheim Seahawks at 1 and Sfniner08 at 2, both with a record of 6–2. This will change as soon as Tuesday when they meet for the second match-up. Will Sfniner08 be swept or will they be able to split the record?

The AC North is close as well, with the perineum bandits and the Girona Dragons 1714 both having a record of 7–1. The bandits maybe have a slightly easier schedule in the second half of the season, but it would be nice if the meeting on the second to last game day of the season between these two still would be about determining the winner of the Division.

The AC South is close, too, with the turigtians esports club and Viper sharing a record of 5–3. turigtians took the first spot in the Division with 3 wins in a row, inter alia beating Viper at home 30:18. The second half of the season has still some tough games for both, although the esports club may have one or two tough match-ups more.

In the NC East sits the one team in the league that's still unbeaten, being the Brookfield Ukies. The Nottingham Outlaws are already 3 Losses behind and still have a lot of hard match-ups to overcome. Although they still have to play each other twice, so there's still a good chance for the Outlaws to close the gap.

In the NC North the Pinellas Pikes lead with a record of 7–1, with the Mülheim Steelers and the Gardians both with a record of 5–3. All three have to play each other for a second time, still, and they all have at least 2 more tough match-ups on their schedule for the second half of the season.

The NC South is pretty even, too, with the Alaskan Fur Trappers leading 6–2, but being only 2 wins in front of the third place Gilets Jaunés, the Cargese Dolphins being in between. The Fur Trappers may have the toughest second half of the season, though, having to play against the perineum bandits, the Girona Dragons 1714 and the Green Mark Packers as well as both games against the Gilets Jaunés.

And the NC West is to this point led by the Green Mark Packers with a record of 6–2, one win in front of the Nuthuggers. Both teams still have to play each other twice, and the Nuthuggers may have a slightly easier schedule than the Packers, who still have to play the Baltic Stars and the Alaskan Fur Trappers.

Good luck for the second half of the season to everyone*

* of course those, too, that I didn't mention. Please don't be mad

Who are, in your opinion, the Preseason-Favorites to win the Divisions?

AC East - Mülheim Seahawks

AC North - perineum bandits

AC South - turigtians esports club

AC West - Baltic Stars

NC East - Brookfield Ukies

NC North - Gardians

NC South - Alaskan Fur Trappers

NC West - Green Mark Packers

I think that NC North is the most difficult division (again) and The Pinellas Pikes and Mülheim Steelers are also fighting for the title.

So far my prediction is fairly good. Only missing AC West and NC North (which I already expected).

I am sorry I haven't posted much this season if at all. Been...busy and only active enough to maintain roster and finances. I have zero game planned at all. If I make it into the playoffs then maybe lol.

Anyways playoff picture:

AC

East

It is a 2 team race between myself and Seahawks. Right now I am 1 game behind but with a better pd. I don't see any losses for Seahawks or myself the rest of the way except the game we play each other. Winner of that game most likely decides division. There are always upsets and weird things that happen so who knows. lol.

North

Jackalopes (always be that name to me) er...I mean roadkill, no um skidmarks...no that is not it...Papillons? No....RZA BS...no it is unrealistic bs...nope it changed to Pointless Abyss then it was BS Abyss then changed to Spartoi then got some nostalgic and switched back to Jackalopes and now this season is known as Bandits will win the north. I mean this guy has been here since season 18 I think. So that experience plus a 2 game lead. Book it.

South

Vipers has a 1 game lead over Turigtians. If Turigtians can gain a game they have a better pd for a tiebreaker. The only problem is.....that Vipers don't have any games left that look like a loss. No disrespect to his opponents but they have a combined 6 wins for the season. I would say it is Vipers division to lose.

West

Hamburg Krill have a one game lead over Baltic Stars and a slight edge in pd. This next game for the Stars will determine if the Hamburg/Stars matchup will matter. The Stars play GB Packers next and are most likely an underdog but if they pull it off the next week is vs Hamburg. Meanwhile Hamburg only has the Stars as a their only tough game left. It is stacked against the Stars but they have a chance, albeit slim.

Wild Cards

Sometimes this is the challenging part to figure out but not this time. Who ever doesn't win the west is out of Stars and Krill be a wild card. The second wild card will be either Girona or whoever doesn't win the East between myself and Seahawks. Girona plays me next so the winner of that game will sort it out some. I am in the same boat as Baltic here. I play Girona followed by Seahawks. The playoffs will probably be set in 2 games for the AC.

NC

This conference divisions are set for 3 of them.

East

Ukies have a 3 game lead. They win division.

North

Pikes have a 2 game lead over Steelers. Pikes most likely win but they do have 4 tough games left, no cupcakes. Steelers have 2 tough games left. It is possible but I see Pikes winning north.

South

This division is not settled and has too many variables to predict a winner. Fur Trappers have a one game lead and a large PD over Dolphins. So it is like a 2 game lead. They play Gilets twice (don't know why that team is only 6-6) and they play Mark's GB. Dolphins have one decent game left. Probably Fur Trappers win but who knows?

West

Green Mark Packers have locked it up.

Wild Cards

Outlaws is probably the only team in the running outside of the teams mentioned in the division races.

I have run out of time for now so I will come back later and u p d a t e this.

Thanks for the overview

I predict a win for the Stars against the Packers. The Stars have a very effective attack going, one I'd fear that the Packers may be set up too simple on Defense against...

AND I'm concerned about our game against turigtians. The awfully close victory against Steel last Saturday again showed how vulnerable we still are. So it may come down to coming Saturday and us squaring off with the Stars

I think the AC teams are set but the seeding is not.

Hamburg has locked up the West. Even if Hamburg lost 2 and Baltic won out the pd is too much to overcome.

Bandits win the North.

Vipers will win the South with a 2 game lead and no tough opponents remaining.

The east will likely be decided on Saturday between Seahawks and Niners. Seahawks win they have a game 2 game lead with 2 games to go. They won't lose both of those games. If Niners win they have slight PD advantage and softer schedule. (Seahawks play Steelers after Niners, that is a tough game.)

Wildcards will be Baltic and either SF or Seahawks.

The NC is more open for wildcards.

As for Divisions, 3 are for the most part settled.

Pikes win North
Packers win West
Ukies win East
Fur Trappers and Dolphins battle it out in the South.

Steelers most likely are the first wild card with the following teams competing for the second.

Outlaws, Nuthuggers, Fur Trappers/Dolphins, and Guardians with an outside shot.

Great write up SF! Used to do these back a couple years ago when I played in Fire and got so into them I had to quit the game cuz it was taking up too much of my time haha. Glad to be back (though I don't have time to be much more than a bot at this point) and love reading those playoff predictions.

It's only two games to go now in the Regular Season, and the games played yesterday settled a few questions about the playoffs in the AC and the NC.

AC

Overall 9 teams are still in for a spot in the playoffs:

The HAMBURG SEA LIONS (currently known as hamburg krill (HSL) due to the LEATHERHEAD Series 3 tournament) have the #1 seed with a record of 13–1. They have the bye-week in the Wildcard Round secured. Even if they lose both remaining games in the regular season their PD is to big to catch up to by the pursuing Seahawks.

The #2 seeded perineum bandits (12–2) need one more win to secure the bye-week, too, which they should achieve at least on the very last game day against the DC Horsemans.

The Mülheim Seahawks (11–3) have the #3 seed and will most likely keep it. They should win at least one more game to keep Viper at arms length, but that should be no problem with them playing the Alert Polar Bears on the last game day.

Viper sits on the #4 spot with a record of 10–4, and with two manageable games they will very likely win the South.

The Baltic Stars have the #5 seed with the same record as Viper. They'll need another win and can plan for the Wildcard Round. If they manage to lose against Ipso Facto, though, it comes down to the last game of the season against Nippon Steel.

sfniner08 (9–5) has the #6 seed right now due to the better PD over the Girona Dragons with the same record. Both have to play one tough and one less tough game, with the Dragons having a slightly more tough tough game than sfniner. So the schedule suggests that sfniner keeps their spot.

Nippon Steel and turigtians esports club both have a record of 8–6 and slim chances to sneak in, with Steel at least having the opportunity to directly steal points from their division rival Baltic Stars.

NC

The teams that will advance to the playoffs in the NC are mostly known:

The Pinellas Pikes (13–1) have the #1 spot. They need at least one more win to secure the bye-week in the wildcard-round, two wins will secure the #1 seed in the playoffs. This will be tough to achieve, though, since they play the Nottingham Outlaws and the Mülheim Steelers on the last two game days.

The Green Mark Packers and the Brookfield Ukies both have a record of 12–2, both play minor competition in the last two games. The PD is heavily in favor of the Packers, so they will stay at least on the #2 spot. The Packers will jump the Pikes if the latter win only one more game, the Ukies will most likely keep the #3 seed.

The Alaskan Fur Trappers (10–4) will most likely win the South and therefore advance to the Playoffs with the #4 seed. If they stumble over one of their last two opponents and the Cargese Dolphins win out they might find themselves in the wildcard round, though.

The Mülheim Steelers (11–3) have the #5 seed just now and will most likely keep it. They'd have to win against the Mülheim Seahawks on Tuesday AND against their division rival Pinellas Pikes AND manage to score A LOT of points to jump to the top of the NC North.

The Cargese Dolphins who have the #6 seed with a 9–5 record right now. If they win out and the Fur Trappers lose one more game it comes down to PD which is not entirely impossible to catch up.

On the outside looking in right now are the Nuthuggers and the Nottingham Outlaws, both with a record of 8–6. Both play one top team of the NC next week, and with the Cargese Dolphins playing two very manageable games they will both very likely not advance to the tournament round.
