This was the worst game Alabama has played this season and of cause that was the wrong time and the wrong place.
The stopped the 1st possession of Clemson with a 3-and-out, but Tua did throw an interception for a pick-six 3 plays later.
Alabama did respond well at that point and scored a TD after that, Clemson did answer, too, and Alabama did score again.
Just 8 minutes played the score is already 14-13 (after Alabama missed the PAT).
If that is a sign, it would be a major firework in the making.
Clemson was stopped afterwards, Alabama kicked a field goal and Clemson did score a TD after that, now leading 21-16.
Still no issue, right?
Well, until Tua did throw another INT and Clemson did punch in the ball 8 plays later.
And Alabama was unable to answer in the next 2 drives, while Clemson did kick a field goal in between.
31-16 at the half for Clemson!
Very unfamiliar territory for the Crimson Tide.
They came out of the locker room and went over the whole field until they were stopped on the Clemson 22 yard line.
Clemson did respond well and waited for the fake field goal and it CAME and it failed of cause.
Just 3 plays later and a major pass play as last play the Tigers score again and sink the Tide even deeper into the pit.
Now down by 21 (Clemson did miss the PAT, one of the few errors in this game on their side) Alabama did play all-or-nothing and Clemson was able to stop them on every drive.
At the end did Clemson win 44-16 and won the 2nd National Championship in 3 seasons.

A maybe too early pick for 2021: If things do work well for him, Trevor Lawrence will be the 1st pick overall in the 2021 draft (if he leaves after 3 seasons). This guy did show it all already in this game and he is only freshman. Maybe the next Payton Manning.

I'm glad that the season is over, this becomes quite demanding in the final weeks and now I can do other things.
