Today we have another first one on our schedule, and I'm very interested how this will turn out: the HAMBURG SEA LIONS are visiting the TigerCats of the AC North.
Once have we played them in a meaningful game. That was in Season 53 when we were participating in the Champ of Champs contest. The TiCas had just returned to the Elite league after a hiatus of one season, and we met them in the round of Final 8. It was a close game, and at the start of the 4th quarter we were able to score a FG, making it 16:23. We forced a 3&out on their next possession, even had a great 35 Yard Punt return and had 1st&10 on their 27, took the ball all the way to the 3... and then failed to convert 4th Down. We did not get the chance to score again afterwards and thus lost the game. It was a tough lesson learned and forced a lot of thinking about these kinds of situations and how to define our play in those. We've come a long way since then, and hopefully we'll have a better plan for them today. Maybe we can surprise them. Good luck for everyone today  |

Good luck everyone! It will be a very difficult game for us against Prairie Dogs, a division rival. And our second half of season could not have been harder. We lost against People Republic of Yorkshire, and now we play two times Prairie dogs and Space Kraken, Tigercats and Magpies...

There were matches at the start of the season, in which i took a long look at them and considered that could go the other way. I nailed yours yesterday
Unfortunately for me, when i picked the winners in RZA Pick'em yesterday, i didn't check my projections first. If i did, i would had 14 hits, damn  |

I was convinced, though, that Jonny would play MOTY against us, so I was equally surprised to see that he did not

To say it was surprising to see us coming out of the game yesterday with a win would be a mild understatement, but as I said before: we were pretty much convinced that we would host a MOTY-powered team. So we’re entering the final stretch of the season leading the division, which is nice… but most probably only a temporary state, as I’ll explain in the new overview
The Battle for the NC West – 4 games to go SEA LIONS (7–5) The SEA LIONS had some expected losses against the Mandos and the TigerCats these past days, and there are still coming up at least two games that they will start as the underdogs. Their next opponent, the Black Dragons, have had some results that leaves us scratching our heads of what to expect, and our battles with the Blitz have been unforeseeable, too, so we’ll see what happens. Our position, though, is pretty neat right now, and due to our division opponents not winning their games yesterday the HAMBURG SEA LIONS will definitely play in the Elite next season again
Remaining schedule: @ Black Dragons, vs. San Diego Blitz, vs. Michigan Weasel Traders, @ Olivos Borrachos Chelt Nam Bobbers (6–6) The Bobbers have by far the best point differential in the division, which will assure them winning the West again if they manage to get to the same record as the SEA LIONS, like it was last season. They still have to get one more win to secure another go around in the highest class of RZA, but their remaining schedule is pretty favorable for that, as they still have 3 divisional match-ups and overall only games against teams well below .500 coming up. Of course especially these two games against Pizti could be dangerous, but winning 1 out of 4 should be easy for them. And given the fact that their schedule overall is more favorable than that of the SEA LIONS I still think they will win the division again. Remaining schedule: @ Pizti Beltzak, @Michigan Weasel Traders, vs. Olivos Borrachos, vs. Pizti Beltzak Pizti Beltzak (2–10) Pizti Beltzak has an 8-game-losing-streak going on, and 6 of these 8 games were surprisingly high losses, given the fact that they have a pretty good squad. Which is why losses like the one against the Weasel Traders yesterday still have hard hits on morale for them, I suppose, despite having a bad record like they have. They will meet with the Bobbers twice over the next 4 games, which will give them the chance to make a last minute push for another season in the Elite. They’d have to win out, though, and still have also the Ravens from the East and the Panthers from the AC North on their schedule. And if the Bobbers win the game on Tuesday Pizti will return to the Dragons league at the end of the season. Remaining schedule: vs. Chelt Nam Bobbers, vs. Constanta Ravens, @ Panthers, @ Chelt Nam Bobbers Olivos Borrachos (2–10) The Olives were handed the toughest schedule, and their remaining 4 games are no exception from that. Like their division opponent Pizti they have two divisional match-ups coming up, must face the TigerCats on the road and have the Stone Mountain Hawks 2 from the NC East coming to town, the latter still fighting for another season in the Elite. As they would have to win out it is most unlikely that they come back to the Elite next season, too. Remaining schedule: vs. Stone Mountain Hawks 2, @ TigerCats, @ Chelt Nam Bobbers, vs. SEA LIONS |
